Finally, we got Lulu the Fae Sorceress! A fairy champ I've been dying to have!
People like me who absolutely love supports have been waiting for a new support a long time. Yesterday I bought Lulu and found that she's a really unique and very fun to play support with multiple playstyles (one being CC/shielding support, one being more damage based support and ofc there's the golden middle way of being high damage CC support).
Her E skill, Help Pix! reminds me of Orianna's Command: Protect that first shields and then follows around the champion with the addition that she can cast it to an enemy champion to deal damage to them. Also her passive is a bit similar to Orianna's since auto attacks do bonus damage.
Her Q reminds me a bit of the stuns that Lux and Morgana have but it just doesn't stun, instead slows enemies quite hard and somehow it can be shot in two ways, but I haven't played her enough to know better. But since weekend is coming, I'll be playing her more. :)
Her ulti resemble's slightly that of Janna's about the part of the knockair, but otherwise it's unique giving extra HP (and it's probably a great initiate spell when cast on a initiater) - some of you probably see no resemblance, but that's because my brain functions weirdly and I tend to compare all the new stuff to the existing skills and champions in LoL.
What's makes Lulu totally unique is her W skill that changes the enemy champion into an adorable little fluffy creature. <3 (And when cast on ally gives AP and movement speed, which is why she's good at laining with an AP carry as well.)
Sad it had been nearly a year before Riot made another support after Karma. I know Leona was released, BUT she wasn't designed as a support, that's just how people play her. Although I like her as a tank more. But since Karma was the last real support champion before Lulu, it's been a really long wait. And it actually confuses me a lot, since I started to play LoL when Karma was released which means I've been playing LoL for a year now O__O Wow.
I never play online games that long, not even Perfect World which is still my biggest love. I didn't play even Battle of Immortals that long (and I blame my bf for that, I quit involuntarily when we started dating just when I was the PVP queen of my server and had a bunch of 25+ year old men - including 40-50 year old dad and his 25 year old son - in my team under my command.)
What makes me a bit worried, is Lulu's fate. Will she be as forgotten as Karma?
I heard Karma is going on a remake, but I hope they don't change her too much, because imo she has a really good kit as it is, but her lack of CC and long cooldowns early game have led to nobody playing her. She's just really underestimated and I love to play Karma as she is, but I do hope she'll be a bit more efficient after the remake.
Back to Lulu, I played 3 games and all went badly. :D
First game I just tried her while waiting for my bf to finish his Dota2 game. He got banned from LoL when he finally started to behave well (envious people always report the jungler even if he played better than all of them :/), so he compensates by playing Dota2. That upsets me and has led me to lose most of my interest in LoL since I don't like to play alone, and that's why I hadn't touched LoL in 10 days before yesterday. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have played it if Lulu wasn't released.
And my The Sims 2 obsession absolutely has nothing to do with my lack of interest. :D I've been too busy breeding perfect sims (and killing the ugly ones). Blame it on all the Legacy Challenge blogs I've been reading at work, when I'm so bored... I'm actually at work right now, but I've already read all the good Sims LC-blogs (in my language).
When I was playing Lulu I remembered why I play LoL so seldom nowadays. The community is just so f*cked up, (I thought it was only EUNE, but EUW might be even worse...) 2 out of 3 games I played yesterday had leavers IN NORMAL GAMES. WTF, Normal Games used to be sane.
My bf always says that the bot lane loses or wins the game, which does happen mostly in Ranked games, but in my games...
1. I had a Nocturne who insisted on duo top with Fiora even though we had no jungler, then they lost 1v2 vs Nasus, and then blames the rest of the team.
2. Second game was made by the top lane again, Udyr played well, but the rest of the was doing just average with deaths and kills and he goes afk when he dies once, while pushing alone.
3. Top lane again... We played well, but the other team played better. (By ganking our top lane constantly which resulted in 0-7 Lee Sin.) Result: our mid lane called the team ******s after the game ended. Sore loser, eh?
What is wrong with people, crying about one game so much?
Why don't the flamers understand that even if someone died multiple times (by accident) you can still have a chance at winning, but not if you concentrate on flaming instead of playing. Flamers are the ones who lose games and sadly 80% of community consists of flamers, especially in Ranked games. I don't see why people should play if they don't play games for fun. That's what games are for, right?
People who have this try hard -mode on in all game modes should probably find a way to express themselves in real life and find something they need to put a lot of effort so, so they don't have to try to over perform in LoL or in any MMO games.

This is why you never ever play Solo-Q. I had an awesome game yesterday (blind pick, normal) where I was with 3 friends on Skype and we had a random 5th player. We had the worst, and I mean the worst possible 5th teammate- the type that feeds and never communicates with the team (we were hoping our premonition based on his name- FeederQ- was wrong but nope). He picked Sona regardless of what we were picking (I chose Lulu the first time and he took Sona anyway but fortunately someone on the other team dodged- so I picked Anivia the second time, first time playing her in months, went 8/1). He went 2/15/15, and the 2 kills were steals. It was really rather funny to watch him go to a random lane/jungle and die. Somehow we managed to win the game even though we would have been better off in a 4v5.
Another awesome game came right after that. We decided to all go supports with healing abilities and stack gold per 5 items. We didn't mean to win the game but we ended up crushing them so hard... I was Nidalee for the first time in 9 months and started 7/0 against Akali + Jungle Xin top (was with Taric). I still don't know how or why we managed to win that game.
The moral: make sure you play with at least one friend so you can laugh at the people that rage, feed and quit instead of raging yourself.
Well the problem is that I'd duo queue with my BF if he wasn't banned unrighteously...
I do have some other in-game friends to play with but no Skype with them so pretty much the same as playing with randoms.
I have the opposite problem about the premades as I end up with people who duo queue and insist on duo lane after I have picked Lulu, forcing me to go top with a support. Not that I didn't want to try full AP Lulu, since she has good ap ratios...
But our bot lane has AP Twisted Fate and Heimerdinger, so we have 4 AP champions. Against all the odds, I manage my lane quite well vs. Yorick, but bot lane feeds 0-7 TF and 0-2 Heimer vs. MF solo (since their Karma was trolling and duo mid with Kennen). Happens every time I let a duo queue partners go to same lane. If the game didn't last 70 minutes and the enemy team weren't so sloppy we wouldn't have won :D
Yeah, the blog was about Lulu, but also about the community so I don't mind reading comments about stuff related to either Lulu or bad games/bad community. All are welcome :)
PS:Forgive me if i was a bit rude.
