Please tell me I am right about this- I've been seeing TONS of players running 
Boots of Swiftness as of late, and it's depressing because 35 tenacity trumps 20 movement any day of the week.

and well think my reasoning was rather good, it'd not build them in 85% of the games, but if you are stomping hard enough and don't need/want swiftness/mercs/tabi's they aren't all that bad
around 1600-1700.
so um... it's actually not all that bad, atleast not if you are ahead, if your lane is ahead and they dun have heavy cc it can actually work out quite great, I build them quite rarely but well, we stomped them all those games and I needed some extra MS.
Wouldn't say they are complete garbage but not your 1. buy anyway.

Same here. And casually Amumu. In both cases, if I feel strong enough to ignore other defensive boots and feel the need for more speed to be efficient offensively.
I have actually learned to delay my boots upgrade as long as possible to make sure it is the best fit possible for the rest of the game.
