I don't play master yi, but from what I can see the early berserke isn't really needed. You get a lot of as and ms yes, but you sort of lack damage in that sense, ss works well"

At late game, your burst isn't all that powerful anymore, a lot of your damage is going to come from auto attacking, at this point of the game botrk helps with the hp stackers as well as kiting and lifesteal.
