Hello mates,
few days ago I was overwhelmed with some kind of good notions and wanted to help noobs in their beginnings. I thought it'll be nice to put together some basic stuff about how to play, maybe who to play, and what to do in various situations. You know, advise the newcomers to avoid basic mistakes, that I did and get into the real game quicker.
But then it hit me. Who am I to give anyone advice about how to play? I'm not even ranked, I played maybe 50 PvP matches so far... hell, I'm not even lvl 30! I'm a noob myself.
And what would be my helpful tips about, anyway? Not to tower-dive on lvl 1? How to do CS? What is the difference between scaling and flat runes? Or should I put together all those shortcuts like AD, AP, ARAM and make a little list out of them?
No. No point in doing that. It's too much of this everywhere. Anyway every now and then I see - even here in MOBAFire blogs - people putting together all the same basic tips and tricks and presents them as something new.
While thinking about this, I found my ultimate advice for every noob out there.
UTFG - and I mean it!
Just google "how to play league of legends", "lol tips and tricks" "pro advice" or anything like this and you can find dozens of pages, or LoL forum threads, filled with tips about how to play and what is good/bad thing to do in game.
Mainly they are all the same, but if you read carefully few pages of each googled word chain, you may find (amongst the same stuff) something new.
Same goes about champions - go on YouTube, put in your favourite champion's name and add words like "guide", "help", "tips", "tricks" or "pro play" and you can find pelnty of useful material to help you.
If anyone wants tips and more info about gameplay, he/she can find plenty of good informatrion just with the help of Mr. Google.
And for all those wannabe helpers like me, here's a piece of advice from a fellow noob - don't bother. Unless you can think about something really new, something that nobody knows, or nobody posted on the internet before (i.e. some new way of playing, really original tips and so on), really - don't bother. Save your time, don't repeat what was said thousands times before you and instead either play LoL or do something really useful in RL. ;-)
