Hello everybody!

I always prefered to watch pros playing. YouTube is full of diamond players who commentate on their gameplay and I can't thank them enough for all the help.

I had this program - League Replays - installed for some time, but I never watched single match of mine. Why should I? I know what I did wrong and what was good, right?

Lately I bought Shaco and I find him very hard to learn in jungle, so I was pretty useless whole time. But around my 10th game with him, I won a match and I thought I was pretty OP. I could 1v1 Lee Sin and win (he was plain stupid), I split pushed and all in all I felt good about my game. Actually I felt so good about that, I just watched a replay immediately as we finished, just to stroke my ego :D

What a surprise it was, when I learned, I was outfarmed by that useless, noob Lee Sin, and from mid game, he was better with his KDA than me, as well! (except deaths, I died about 4 times overall, he about 10). The more I watched the more I saw he wasn't such useless noob afterall...

Only by watching my own replay I realized how many mistakes I did and didin't remember them afterwards - like trying to run from Rengar through a bush... seriously? What was I thinking :D

That replay was a huge eye opener and made me realize lots of stuff I did wrong and I would most likely repeat, if I played without seeing that.

From now on, I think I will watch more of my games, to improve.

I found out you can learn a lot from pro players, but you can learn from your own mistakes as well - if you can admitt them.

Admitting a mistake is quite a thing in low elo... lately it happens a lot. Someone gets killed, they instantly write "lucker".. no matter if they were lucky or outplayed. Also I find calling 1v2 or 1v3 "pure skill" quite funny :D

But since I have not enough time, I think I will watch only those matches, in which I felt like Diamond 1 or Paper 5, so I can analyze mistakes, good/bad plays and adjust my gameplay strategy.

Thanks for reading and for those who do not know about League Replays, down there is a small guide how to get it.

For the rest - see you later! :)

LEAGUE REPLAYS

No worries, this program is approved by RIOT itself, so it is totally safe to use, and it is for free :)

Download it from their official website

Author says you can just have it in your icon tray and it will record - but it doesn't work for me (I have Win 7).

If I want to get a replay, I have to click the icon and enlarge the prg on desktop (can't even minimize it). After that, play the game. You can "cover" that prg with browser, or other programs/folders/files... just make sure it stays open on desktop.

Note: Sometimes, in the middle of a match I realize it is worth recording. In that case, just Alt+TAB and enlarge the recorder on your desktop, and continue playing. You will get full replay afterwards.

As for recording matches you are spectating: you have to turn on that possibility in Options (just check "Record while spectating") and don't forgett to change the directory of Replay prg to spectate folder. You can do it like this:

1. Click that huge "My Replays" button
2. Click that "My replays" (with icon of a folder) beneath that button
3. From roll-over menu click on "spectator"

It will display all spectated games you recorded (will be empty if you are doing this for a first time obviously. If you don't do it like this, spectated match will not be recorded (dunno why, but this is how you fix it).

I hope this helps you get better, as much as it helped me :)
