“Well we have a test today and I didn’t study so I’m writing the vocab on my arm.” The kid rolled up his sleeves to reveal a wall of Spanish words that covered both of his arms “Oh God, the test!” Jack tore through his backpack looking for a pen.
“Need a pen?” the kid said as he held it towards him. “
Yeah I do, thanks.” The kid then looked at him and said “You’re Jack, right? Hi, my name is Bob, Bob Dash.” Jack focused on writing the vocab on his arm.
After Jack’s last class he walked to the wrestling room. He felt the need to be there before everyone else to show his dedication and set an example as a team captain. He had little interest in the new wrestlers except for Alex Duval, the kid who every girl wanted and was the varsity quarterback. His hatred for Alex was insane. Jack had a 3.2 GPA, was captain of the wrestling team,145 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes, and a six pack; yet girls came to Alex, who had an IQ of a ****** and the face of a troll. Jack had waited for this chance.
The coach blew the whistle “Alright, circle up everyone, time for king of the ring, you pin the guy, you stay in. The next person in the circle wrestles the winner.” The coach looked at Jack. “Jack, who do you want to wrestle?”
Jack and Alex got in their stances on the starting line. “You’re in my house now, *****” Jack thought. The whistle blew; Jack went straight for a lift, picking Alex up off the ground and slamming him to the mat. He waited for Alex to get up and he wrapped his leg inside of Alex’s thigh and laughed. This was the move which gave him the name The Hell Rider. Jack waited for Alex to lift his head. Jack wound up his hand and smashed it across the bridge of his nose turning him to his back. Jack could then see the look on Alex’s face of defeat and the blood trickling from his nose. Jack didn’t care about any of the other matches.

Later that night Jack went home and checked Facebook. There was a message from Bob Dash. It said “Hey, my friends and I play this game and need a fifth member, want to be our fifth? Just type in our team name The Ghetto Comeback Kids.” He clicked on the big icon “Super Fighter” and was transported to a web site and added Bob’s team to his friends list. “Hey, who should I buy?” He typed to Bob. “We need a heavy damage dealer for top lane, get Lockjaw, or Dark Ruler Urlon,” he replied. Jack looked at the heroes. Lockjaw was a pirate captain in red clothes carrying a cutlass and pistol. Urlon looked like a silhouette of a man but had three horns on his head without a mouth or nose, just piercing orange eyes. Jack clicked on the buy button. Then a screen appeared asking him to make a username. He inserted HellRider and waited for it to confirm. A game invite appeared from the Ghetto Comeback Kids. Jack accepted and was moved into a chat room with Bob and his friends.
“Hey, you’re here that’s good” Bob typed. Bob’s username was Airic airbender, beneath his name was four others including his own Franchisetaxbord, Puddingking, UwantRicewitdat, and HellRider. “Whos ur friends?” Jack typed.
Franchisetaxboard replied “I’m Tim, ur Jack right? I’m one of the new wrestlers on the team. I’ll say hi next time I see you k?”
PuddingKing then wrote “I’m Ross from Zoology and Botany.”
Jack then typed “K who’s rice?”
Then UwantRicewitdat wrote “I’m Asian.”
Bob typed “Ok lets get this started.”
The game began. Bob played a character named Blair, Blair looked like a black bear that stood on its hind legs, his hands and feet have shackles attached to them and his body surrounded by fire. Ross played a character named Orion, Orion wore a spacesuit which couldn’t be seen through and

carried a grappling hook. Tim played Thromnir, Thromnir was a Viking that carried two axes and wore a bear pelt on his back. And Rice played a character named Myra; Myra had brown hair and eyes with a voluptuous physique and used a crossbow. Bob, Tim, and Rice started typing “good luck have fun” and “We gonna crush you we GCK” As they walked to their lanes. Jack’s character went to his lane. Bob explained to him the goal, to destroy the enemy base.
A bush a few meters away moved, a beaver wearing a construction hat holding a hammer came out. Tim typed to Jack “dude you have to lane against Chuck, He has bad range, hit him with Dimension blast, He’s easy to beat.” Jack cast the spell and saw Urlon make a diamond with his hands; a red eye appears in the middle of it and shot three black creatures that look like a combination of a scorpion and a bat into the bush. Urlon ran into the bush only to have Chuck’s hammer thrown at his head. The same game of cat and mouse occurred for twenty minutes. Jack looked at the score and saw they were down ten kills and the enemy only had to destroy one turret to be able to destroy the base. All hope of winning seemed impossible.
Then Bob typed “Alright guys time to live up to our name, everyone come to middle lane.” The Ghetto Comeback Kids began destroying a tower and were about to advance onto the next when the enemy team came from out of the bushes. In a flurry of spells, arrows, axes, and claws, Jack’s team killed the enemies. “Gogogo PUSH we only have thirty secs until they respawn.” Bob typed. The Ghetto Comeback Kids destroyed turret after turret and reached the enemy base. “We have five secs to destroy the base gogogogo” Bob typed. As the last sliver of health vanished from the enemy base a big sign popped up on Jack’s computer saying victory.
After the game Jack typed “That was really fun guys, thanks for inviting me, I need to get some sleep night.”
Everyone replied “Night dude. Cya tomorrow.”

Jack had a different agenda today. It was time to ask out Kendra. Kendra had long brown hair and a good physique. He waited until Zoology to ask her out, knowing he needed time to summon the courage to ask her. Kendra walked by at that moment. “Hey, Kendra, can we chat after class for a sec?” Jack asked.
Kendra turned to look at him “Okay” she said.
Jack walked outside with Kendra and he stopped beneath a tree. “So, Kendra, I was wondering if you would.” At that moment Jack felt as if he couldn’t finish his sentence, as if the words were taken from him.
“If you would?” She replied confused. Jack took out a piece of paper and wrote on it “go out to lunch with me?” Kendra put her hand on Jack’s shoulder “Jack, you’re a nice, good lucking dude, But, you have no confidence.” Kendra said to him sympathetically. “Look I’ll go out with you if you finish that sentence, I’ll give you time to work on that.” Kendra said. She walked away her boots clacking as she walked.
Jack looked at her as she walked away, tears started to appear on his face. “I don’t need a girlfriend to be happy, I just need wrestling.” He sniffled.
Jack entered the wrestling room and sat down and cried. Five minutes later the whole team arrives and Jack lets Kendra’s words slip to the back of his head as a kid with short brown hair and dark *********s with a pair of beat up and dirt covered white vans walked up to him.
“Hey, I’m Tim that was really fun last night dude.” he said as he put his hand forward to shake hands with Jack.
Jack looked at him and said “yeah, that was pretty fun last night I was hella happy. Are you guys gonna play again tonight?”
