Posted a Comment: "It happened again today on another server. I think I know the cause of it - a rolling update was corrupting the file. It should now be fixed on all the servers, and once the time zones catch up those permanently unread messages should become read and stop bugging you. Let me know if they don't."

I fixed that and all the other servers were fine, then today the same corruption happened on another web server. It is now also fixed, hopefully that's the las"

Posted a Comment: "This was due to a corrupt time zone file on one of the web servers. One server was set to North American CST and all the others were set to PST, so any posts that went through that server ended up in the future. Now that it's fixed and we're caught up with CST these issues should go away."
