"For your gold problems, try to last hit minions. Don't attack them much until you know you can kill them in one hit, to get the gold. From what I've seen, you should also farm a lot as Yi. His Alpha Strike makes it pretty easy to destroy minion waves, just last hit in the beginning, farm lots in mid"
