"I think Athene's Unholy Grail is a CORE item for AP Galio, because you are already buying Chalice of Harmony and for 2060 extra gold you get extra 7.5 mana regen, 6 Mres, 81 AP, 15% Cooldown Reduction, and the unique passive.
