I feel it is a bit of a shame that Haunting Guise has only one possible upgrade, so I'm making another suggestion for one. I will also try to make a constant flux of blog posts from now on.
Huramak's Disguise
Recipe:
I wanted to keep the AP-HP theme of
Haunting Guise. Dsepite not bringing a lot of AP (even though it has more than
Liandry's Torment, but less HP) it is fairly expensive. Also, the penetretion is now percentage based, meaning it is less effective against low mres targets. It also lacks the added damage from the other path's passive.
Huramak's Disguise
Recipe:
Haunting Guise (1485g)
Blasting Wand (860g)
- (655g)
- total gold cost (3000g)
- +275 HP
- +70 AP
- Unique Passive: +15% Magic Penetration
- Unique Active: Summon a clone of your champion on a location within 2000 units. It grants you vision and can be contolled as a pet. If it takes damage it is destroyed or lasts 15 seconds maximum. (300 second CD)
I wanted to keep the AP-HP theme of

Interesting Active. However I feel like that active would be cooler as a summoner spell, replacing CV
Love this idea :P
Liandry's Harrowing; (I suck at names)
Builds out of Hextech revolver and Haunting Guise
15 spell pen, 60 AP, Whatever health haunting guise has 20% spell vamp (unique)
Unique passive: Your abilities heal you for 25+25% of your AP Ratio when they hit a target.
Pros: Fills the much needed niche of cost effective spell vamp item for mages that isnt Spectral Wraith.
Very well rounded for a mage.
Cons: Possibly too much healing, recreating S1-2 Vlad. D:
And as Meiyjhe pointed out, 300 sec CD for a controllable CV is meh.
%Pen was a bit of a thoughtless choice, but i didn't want it to have a value comparable to
=3
Other than that, it just feels like an inbetween'er of
