There are so many badass people from back in the day. They are getting to be so few and far between these days. I think about the talent pool today in movies and music and I just want to jump off a bridge. Everyone is so shallow, talentless, and have no true personality of their own. There's maybe a handful of true, creative artists/performers these days. Does anyone else feel this way? Sometimes I feel like I should've been born way before I had been, so I could enjoy those people in real-time. I swear to God, the movie, Idiocracy has it dead on about the future. lmao
Wouldn't you consider this view biased or at least uninformed? Just because youve only been exposed to media you disapprove of dosent mean there isnt any you might like. I mean I'm 17 and I just got introduced to K-pop, J-pop, Dubstep this year. I mean like there might be tons of foreign films you might find more intellectual or at least to your tastes. Each country has their own stereotypes and kind of media and thats just something your going to have to accept. If its the TV shows that have your knots in a bunch I suggest watching 'Community'. Its one of the few intelligent or at least well written TV comedy shows. While it may be completely to your taste all I'm saying is try to branch out your tastes in media.
I watch a lot of foreign films, and check out foreign music all the time. I didn't say there weren't good things right now. I'm saying I feel like I have an "old soul" and should've been born long ago. I enjoy a lot of the older things/people. Today people just aren't the same. You're 17, you're still going to be optimistic about ****. lol Wait til' you're about 30 or so, your viewpoints will change.
As for the actors well I agree with you but then I don't watch movies so I wouldn't really know the difference. Also well, they are acting after all :c
