I think this guide is a great starting point, and I am still a pretty new player. But there are plenty of items now which work really when on Jax which aren't mentioned. Zephyr is a personal favourite, especially as it allows you to buy berserker or ninja boots, without forgoing tenacity.

"So this new build is now completely without MPen? Surely it's worth picking up voidstaff late game? It's probably going to make more difference than the damage boost from DFG's active (though I realise it doesn't make up for the 15% damage). "

"I'm a new player in love with Kass and I've been using this guide pretty much since I started (Kassadin was free that week).
Just tried out the new S3 build and while I was slightly doubtful about dropping RDC and Lich Bane, it really worked well.
