You need your main item to be usefull in the start of midgame, so rushing that mejais might bite you in the ass for picking it that early. You might just not get those kills as you would with either RoA"

Also delaying Rabadon's deathcap till so late also slows the damage output mid-game. Usually I prefer getting Deathcap after RoA. Anyway"
