Posted a Comment: "the way I see it is Merc treds try to survive damage, while Lucid boots try to prevent damage. Black cleaver reduces armor on champs so you do more damage thanks to the fact that they have less armor and you still have the same amount of ArP, plus armor reduction allows everyone who hits that champ"
