"I personally would use Lubuntu or Puppy Linux as a lightweight distro (puppy being ultra light and Lubuntu being normal light).
Vector uses Xfce like Xubuntu and Ubuntu Studio.
I use Ubuntu on my old PC, not yet on my main PC."

I have little idea of what the good and bad things about VL is. You could mention some specifics in the distro thread.
Vector is using Xfce at the very least. I spotted that almost instantly :)"
