Posted a Comment: Dec 6th, 2011 "Again, these items, and especially Hexdrinker are situational and are not meant to replace other items like IE/PD/BC etc. It's simple, if you have a Karthus or another mage with tons of burst damage and you have already completed a couple of good damage items, taking a Hexdrinker isn't going to hurt"

The other one gives you damage + MR and makes you more durable against magical burst damage. Well, I guess it's more important to stack those Blood"

These items are situational, but work like a charm when the enemy team has too many casters. Hexdrinker can also be bought if you are against Karthus, it counters his ultimate quite well."
