An early catalyst gives you the mana and sustain you need in lane, and the finished Rod provides you with enough health to make some risky tower dives and enough mana to spam your skill"

Posted a Comment: Feb 26th, 2013 "In my experience with fizz I find that maxing W first gives you the most damage output and farming ability, and maxing E second gives you a much lower cooldown on your biggest engage/escape tool. Maxing E second does not give you quite as much damage as maxing Q second would, but I believe the trade"

Posted a Comment: Feb 24th, 2013 "Just a suggestion for the tanky AP build, I am a fan of Spirit of the Spectral Wraith on Amumu jungle. It provides more early game damage and decent sustain with spell vamp. I typically pick it up after lvl 1 boots and a giant's belt."

The majority of top lane opponents will be AD bruisers, so at least put an alternate build to use against AP vs. AD lane opponents. I would rush Seeker's Armguard in most cases in order to get those stacks up early. Hones"
