"I would suggest adding Rod Of Ages to at least your situational items build. If nothing else, at least try a few games with it in the mix and see what you think. It is very helpful for added AP Mana and Health."

The cost is 435 not 450. This is important because you can buy a regrowth pendant and a mana potion to start with this price.
