"Not necessarily, Tiamat is also good for adding the extra burst to your combo, which is why it is commonly built in assassin builds, so its really personal preference in terms of if you want to buy it. It has a variety of uses, but you can still be successful without it.

"Just because I say tiamat is overrated doesn't mean its bad. Its still good, its just not a core item that you MUST take every game. Its a personal preference thing, and right now I'm having fun with using tiamat, thats all there is to it."

"1. Not recommended, you should swap your boots for a movespeed item that provides damage such as Trinity force or duskblade, or even one of the crit items. Even then, boots are still very useful."
