IMO mages like Anivia can put out big damage every 4 seconds or so, which is why they are superior to Malzahar, as well as having good team utility. Hope you like him"

He is a sustained damage character (he cannot burst you down like say Annie) and therefore you can auto-attack him and minions to regain health lost to a transfusion or Tides of Blood. Executioner's calling helps too but you shouldn't need it."
