I'm just saying, I'm pretty sure I've never lost to a Caitlyn in mid if I had a decent AP carry.
Have I played against a lot of bad Caits? Probably.
Have I played against some decent ones? Certainly.
My point is that winning mid lane is not a done deal just because you're long range.
EDIT: One thing I forgot - Caitlyn (and most ranged DPS champions) are fairly vulnerable to ganks. Most AP carries have a built-in CC and a lot of burst, while Cait just has her net and maybe

mid is the shortest lane, hence the easiest to avoid ganks in, hence why tanky dps usually take top, the lane is longer and therefore more difficult to escape ganks. Cait also has great map presence for middle.

If I helped you at all, give me a +Rep please, thanks!
Dunno if somebody said it already, but rush wriggles. He is a sustained damage character (he cannot burst you down like say Annie) and therefore you can auto-attack him and minions to regain health lost to a transfusion or Tides of Blood. Executioner's calling helps too but you shouldn't need it.
@Trophycase: Good point, but Cait will be on her own, instead of with a support with CV and WARDS. I'd still call mid the more dangerous lane to be in if you don't have a good escape mechanism.
And Cait does have one. Plus Flash and traps. I'm not saying she's a bad mid, I'm more saying why AD carries aren't usually mid.

Thanks to Hoppermh for the sig!
Actually I find Vlad still kind of strong. Built bulky he is hell to kill. I almost always win my lane with vlad. I find that he is weaker against ad ranged than application though.

I am against asking for rep, only rep me if you think I contributed well or said something wise.

Why not? It's not too bad of an item, and it gives some quick lifesteal. The active is great if you don't have

Because it doesn't matter if you nerf his healing, if you still lose the trades because you have no damage. The only reason Vlad wins lanes is because he out sustains his opponent, and there's only two sides to that coin.
How much he heals.
How much damage he deals.
If you rush a BT, and just auto attack, Cait has the ability to win that lane if you play well right from the start.
Executioners will guarantee you lose the lane, however. 100%.

No, not against Vlad.
This works against AD carries in the duo lane because of the armor. (Even then, it's not worth it to buy a Wriggle's on an AD carry. Chaox is focused on winning the lane phase and being able to trade. That's why he does it, but really what you need out of an AD carry is damage, which Wriggle's delays too long.)
With Vlad you need real damage, BT is your only hope to beat Vlad with Cait.

Man, I'm an imba Vlad and I know good what rapes me. Use Cait's range, poke Vlad once, he will Q you, then you chase and negate his heal, works wonders :) Also, make him use his pool BEFORE you ulti him or you will waste it. Plant traps on the sides so he can move only middle and will take more damage from your Q. Rlly, Vlad doesn't seem like that but he likes positioning D:

Which is easier to dodge:
Most line-based skillshots can be blocked by creeps, and they're often easy to dodge. The rest of the non-targeted spells are like twice as easy to land.
I probably haven't read the thread properly, I thought we were talking from the perspective of the skill required by the guy playing the AP carry.
