"I explained this. I use it because late game it will grant you a massive AP bonus.
Also, you can use your skills even more, e.g. use Distortion on your way when walking.

Though, myself I prefer maxing Mocking Stout first, due to that Spinning Slash doesn't do much damage after all. Mocking Stout will make chasing much better mid-game.
