Summoner Spells

Flash : flash could allow you to make surprise ganks or counterplays.

Teleport : use it, it's really good to ganks and such as helping

Runes

Quints : Ability Power quints since you're an AP brotha.

Mark : Magic penetration to your early game damage, it will help you on the entire game.

Seals : Armor seals to the early game. and 3 Mana regen seals, they will help a lot since you will use a lot of mana on the start.

Glyphs : you have x3 Glyphs of Magic resist and x6 Glyphs of Cooldown Reduction so you can start with 10% of Cooldown reduction already.

Masteries

Early Tank masteries since you already have enough magic damage.

Starting items

Doran's Ring : You can get it if you need mana regen, I would recommend the other ones thought but it's still an option.

Crystalline Flask : This is for high mana usage BUT you won't be able to rush Catalyst the Protector that well.

Sapphire Crystal : The most recommended one to early start damage, you can get x1 Health Potion and x1 Mana Potion or x2 of one of them. Perfect to rush the Catalyst the protector after a few farmings or kills

Cloth Armor (against AD) : Pick it if you want to rush the Glacial Shroud, that's not too much recommended since the Catalyst the Protector is the best one to be rushed first.

Boot options

Ninja Tabi : For your early tanking, it will be really good if you already have life as using the Catalyst the Protector.

Sorcerer's Shoes : for your magic pen., since you won't have as much damage on AP but on Mana instead, magic penetration is really helpful here.

Mercury's Treads : For magic resist and good against enemy's CCs.

Core Items

Catalyst the Protector
Catalyst the Protector : It is kinda one of your main items, if you won't be able to rush Rod of Ages, you can do Catalyst twice, then you can go for Rod of Ages, after rod you can go for Turbo Chemtank

Rod of Ages : If you rush Rod earlier, it will better for you later, Catalyst passive is the best one to Ryze in case of mana regen..

Turbo Chemtank : that's the best for the ganking, health and mana as well, do it right after Rod of Ages, or in case of needing more magic damage and armor, go for Frozen Heart

Frozen Heart : that's a core item since it gives you too much mana and Armor, you don't actually need to rush it but it would be really good if you do. In this build doesn't matter if you actually have not too much AP, you will have nearly 4000 of mana lol.

Full Tank build (Defensively)

Ninja Tabi : The early game armor.

Rod of Ages : Your core item to mana, ability power and health on the early start, the other health item you will have later will be on the late game, Spirit Visage and earlier, Turbo Chemtank.

Turbo Chemtank : one of the core items, try to make it right after Rod, it will give you more health and mana, plus the active is really good for ganking and/or engaging.

Randuin's Omen : it will be really good for your tankiness, on the early game you will already have enough damage since you will have Rod, and Righteous,

Frozen Heart : to give you armor and mana, tons of it, it's basically the Defensive/Offensive item, your main one.

Spirit Visage : your last item, this item will give you more spellvamp combined with the ultimate Desperate Power, will also give you health and magic resistance.

Void Staff (OFF) : If you're going to use this item you need to replace the Turbo Chemtank for it and try to get more mana using the Seraph's Embrace
Back to Top

Final Build (Offensively)

Sorcerer's Shoes : The magic penetration

Seraph's Embrace : Good since can be a combo with your passive once you're going to tank and deal damage. Gives you tons of mana and a bit of AP, so it's a really good offensive item.

Rod of Ages : Your core item to mana, ability power and health on the early start, the other health item you will have later will be on the late game, Spirit Visage.

Void Staff : If you're going to use this item you need to replace the Turbo Chemtank for it and try to get more mana using the Seraph's Embrace

Frozen Heart : to give you armor and mana, tons of it, it's basically the Defensive/Offensive item, your main one.

Spirit Visage : your last item, this item will give you more spellvamp combined with the ultimate Desperate Power, will also give you health and magic resistance.

Conclusion

Hey guys, was good to spread more builds with you, if you want to see some more you can access allbuilds.tumblr.com , sometimes i post stuff there.

Some tips now:
  • You don't need to necessarily rush Frozen Heart
  • Try to keep your passive stacked by spamming Overload (Q), on minions or on nowhere, or poking, whatever. Just to be able to closely use your passive if you really need to, like to counterplay.
  • Be careful with using the combo since when your passive pops up, you can easily get out of control of mana usage, so you will use too much mana and reaches zero. But that only applies to the early game, don't worry with mana usage on mid/late game, you will poop mana everywhere.

See you all later guys! Bye!
