The way I'm seeing E usage is that it could be a powerful zoning tool in jungle skirmishes for example. Like you can set the portal to split or zone teams in half. It's definitely not a strong escape tool so It's either for roaming, preparing ganks or zoning I think.

My first reaction when I saw that you can freeze Baron, Dragon, and as far as I can tell your own towers during a team fight. This champ looks fun, hard to master but easy, and very easy to troll with.
