@bitpik: yeah, he just needs a lot of help and less league imo. Having no life outside of the game is just really really sad ( and I don't mean this in a demeaning way, I'm actually saddened) :x

I think the worst part of this story is that Riot went back and forth on this one, he should have never been un-banned in the first place without some sort of protocol that would be agreeable to both parties.

And once he got back into the game he got re-banned hours later. For someone who has already displayed an unwell Psyche I can't imagine the damage done, the kind of joy that would come with the opportunity to play out in the open again, the chance to prove yourself, only to have it ripped away hours later. Riot did not have clear communication with all of their employees about the extreme case of XJ9.

I think we all know how XJ9 feels at the moment about his life and i hope the thread doesn't push him over the edge. If hes ever going to commit suicide over league, its probably now.

Suicide is never the answer, I hope XJ9 or who ever else see this, understands that.

Read his recent facebook posts, and tell me again, that that's not the attitude of someone who hasn't matured and changed at all. XJ9 has been asking for a ban appeal for a while, and Riot DID give him a chance to prove himself due to a clerical error, and after demonstrating 3 months of non-toxic play, a low-down dev unbanned his account. My outrage was that riot gave him a chance to prove that he's bettered his behavior - which he did, and they still maintained their player ban on him due to his dumb actions 2 years ago.

Looking though his facebook quotes it does appear that his attitude has gotten better, which if a Riot employ really gave him hoops to jump though and he followed though/jumped though them. Then Riot as a whole should follow up as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if that Dev at Riot got fired because there isn't a dedicated site for League of Legends not talking about it. Riot has always done their best to be a fair company. They don't want to tug their players back and forth around like a Yo-Yo going up and down, up and down, experiencing the high and lows all the time, although I just described ranked play flawlessly you get my point

This is the guy who got popular for being toxic, racist and straight-down mean to people. I remember that when he was permabanned after the previously mentioned incidents, he used it to get more people to follow him and support him by saying that he will kill himself because Riot is unfair towards him, because there was no reason to ban him if person X and person Y weren't banned.

Thank you, I think it's a shame that the only thing people are bringing up is the fact that he posted Nudes, although it was evil and wrong in every way, that was just the straw that broke Riots back. His list of actions against The Summoners Code is still one of the longest in history of League even if you were to remove the nude pic scandal. It's still one of the longest. He was Toxic, he made Death Threats, he even posted several Suicide Scares if I remember correctly.

The qualities he was banned for:
1. Toxicity - addressed
2. Eloboosting - common phenomenon
3. Logging on gf's acc and wasting RP - amendable especially since the RP system doesn't create an economy that affects the prices of items, which XJ9 claimed to have known would happen

more reasons why he originally got banned

Although he may have proven him self by making a few nice facebook posts. His report sheet is still hella long. and a few posts can't fix years worth damage, in my opinion Riot really should look into making some sort of reasonable protocol for extreme cases, if you meet these requirements you can come back, and once back you will be watched like a hawk.

The real crime here is that Riot went back and forth on his Ban, which shouldn't have been approved only to be denied a few hours later.

One of the reasons Riot banned him was to stop the spread of toxicty, which his fans are now spreading, however Riot did open a can of worms here, when that Rioter hit that magic un-ban button for XJ9, only to have a higher up come in and say what the hell are you doing!

Try convincing a suicidal person with that quote. 99% of them would either numb the statement away or laugh at it.

Actually it would depend on the person. Someone who is close to the suicidal one saying that could have a great effect. It shows that someone is worried and cares.

I really wouldn't want anyone to commit a suicide. I think he should be unbanned but given very tight constrictions in order for him to prove he has changed

They were saying those things here, but the chat log doesn't extend to very far. Sorry, but can't prove it atm.

I never would have laughed at the idea of someone telling me it wasn't the answer when I was suicidal (and I was close to it around the time I joined this site tbh). I might have ignored them or determined they didn't know what I was going through, but I was far too depressed by that point to laugh at much of anything.

Also, if he's so emotionally unstable that he might do something like that over a game, I'm pretty sure he should be in therapy and not worried about playing video games. Video games are often an escape (I know I use them that way at times) and, in that case, it only makes things worse to continue to enable someone to do so.

Last summer, I was walking with my friend around Lowell, and when we were crossing a bridge, my friend pulled him back towards the bridge and saved him. When he was saved, his facial expression wasn't anything of anger, fear, sadness, nor resentment. He was blank. He just gazed out towards the river.

It's someone saying, 'I love you' that stops a suicide. I can't imagine XJ9 being in a good place right now were it not for his girlfriend.

So you numbed the statement by ignoring it, like i used to do when i was deeply depressed. But when i became suicidal i would have laughed at it. Cause everything was fcking epic for me. People are different, I didn't say that most suicidal guys would laugh at it, i said they would either laugh at it or ignore it.

Well although it's not the best worded advice, I can see why it would be ignored or laughed at, either way suicide is never an easy subject to talk about. Nor is it an easy one to talk someone down or out of the idea of ending their life. But Utopus had the best thing to say about the subject it's not the words you say it's the fact that you are there, and care, without love behind the words and actions it's meaningless.

I can only imagine that XJ9 is not in a good place right now. Already being unstable and then kicked when he's down by Riot was not cool, I really hope Riot looks into why someone at their HQ let him back in, when it was clearly not supposed to happen.
