I don't mind people talking about League, so long as it's to other people who also play League, but yeah the FB statuses part is weird, why would you post about League on FB when 90% of the people reading it will have no idea what you're talking about.
does anyone else think people who complain on mobafire about their friends on facebook is cringeworthy? Jesus christ I don't give a damn if your friends are complaining about their rank over social media. I mean you have the option to block them, remove them as friends, or unfollow them. Irritates the hell out of me

You can talk about whatever you want bae. If people want to talk about League, let them. If you think they talk too much with you about it, steer the conversation in another direction. Talk about something YOU find fun.
On Facebook you can just unfollow them. I have a buddy that plays way more FB games than is healthy and spams my Facebook wall with it. I unfollowed her. Why can't you unfollow them if they bother you so much?

i'm fine with casual talk about league irl with friends but if I were in a more public environment w/ strangers or people i'm not as familiar with i really prefer not talking about league because it seems unfit.

I'm the same way. Talking about league for a little bit is fine - It's a nice and easy way to connect with people, and sometimes a good way to start off a conversation provided that the conversation then segways onto other, non-league related topics
