    Poacher's Knife Viability?

So with what Ive seen w/ youtubers playing on the PBE, Kindred's recommended jungle item is Trailblazer, but since he is encouraged to invade, how viable is Poacher's Knife? Also, Shaco's invades CAN be insanely strong, wouldnt it help?

The theoretical aspect of Poacher's Knife is that it allows junglers to counterjungle safely and more efficiently, but in reality, Ranger's Trailblazer does all of that much better.

The whole concept of counterjungling is to be in the enemy jungle when the enemy jungler is on the other side of the map to either make amends for not spotting a gank or to simply take advantage of his jungle to farm up while the lane that knows a gank is coming is just playing safe.

What does Poacher's Knife give from smiting? A bit more gold, lowered cd on smite, and a MS buff. The gold is negligible, the lowered CD on smite is decent but unnecessary, and the MS buff is just completely useless - it's only good when you need to run away after cj-ing and you aren't going to counterjungle when you know the enemy jungler is there. Compare that to Ranger's Trailblazer, which gives you an AOE smite to clear faster if you need to counterjungle and a health and mana restoration that helps you sustain longer. Your counterjungling with trailblazer will definitely be more efficient.

That's not even to mention that trailblazer is just more versatile compared to poacher's knife. What if you're behind and can't counterjungle? Trailblazer is just better overall.

Poacher's just plainly sucks. Red smite is better for shaco because he's also intended to kill the enemy jungle instead of only stealing their jungle, and even when only stealing, the damage reduction is often better since most heavy invaders already have good built-in mobility (lee sin, shaco).

On top of that, buying poacher's reveals the enemy that you're intending to steal. This means taking preventive measures right after poacher's is bought.

And purple smite is probably recommended for kindred since her early/mid game clears might be hard. ADC stats tend to be low, and her passive scaling looks like she's a late-game champion, further suggesting her early might be even weaker.

Every smite gives a specific advantage, and poacher's advantage is too niche because every other smite can be used to invade in some way.

On my opinion in this meta i do not believe poachers knife is viable because atm there are much stronger items available and there arent that many junglers that work well with poachers knife
I recommend Trailblazer or Skirmishers sabre they are very strong for ganking junglers but for farming junglers Trailblazers only
have a good time jungleing <3

Poacher's Knife is basically only good if you're going in, stealing a camp, and running away.. but it's difficult to find a time where this would be better than the other options.
If you're looking to duel the enemy jungler, or expect to cross paths with them (which is every game), Skirmisher's Sabre or Stalker's Blade will give you a combat boost.
And Ranger's Trailblazer will allow you to jungle/counter jungle safer (with the HP/MP restore) than the MS boost from Poacher's Knife.
