I'm working on a pretty neat Nidalee build atm, stay tuned XD
You really deserve another +1 so what the hell
+1
EDIT: I would consider turning comment to vote on! :)
Edit again ;o Well I would rather get Rylai's Crystal Scepter before the Sheen only because of the better survivability and damage output it gives. With the Sheen you have to be in the persons face to do damage so I usually get it after the Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
Oh, and I agree with 1337azn (though I think I would be doing Trinity Force more times than Lich Bane).
and why not get trinity gives u more mobility a slow and etc.
HOWEVER, Consider 2 Things: First, you can only have 9 runes maximum. Second, I believe at some point you should upgrade from Sheen to Lich Bane.
regardless, i like the rylais on an AD build. +1 from me
Your kidding! Hah, well okay... Props to you ^_^
Well, I suppose that actually improves this build a little more anyways, considering that now the Ability Power isn't wasted...
But now I may as well include more Hybrid items then hey? Rather than just 3 Bloodthirsters...
Oh, and @ Pokimoki: why would Hextech be good? I can imagine why on Evelyn, as she gets no throw-like abilities, but 2 out of 4 of Kat's abilities all have long range, and the damage applied on the Hex is more than marginal. Plus, considering that Kat has no mana, I would assume that throwing a blade to trigger Sheen would be more than beneficial than having to lose either some utility in the Rylai's and Sheen, or some spike damage, in the Bloodthirsters.
Also, a Trinity would be pointless, as it offers great bonuses to characters who use Attack Damage through auto attacks. We don't auto attack with Kat, we spike our abilities. So, it would make sense that the extra attack speed and what-not would be wasted, if all we're going to do, is choke our abilities and get crit's from our Sheen :P
Sorry, I typed that fairly quickly, so I don't know if it makes sense...
* Bouncing Blades
o Now scales off of 80% bonus attack damage (instead of 100% of all attack damage)
o Base damage increased to 60/95/130/165/200
o Now has a 0.35 ability power ratio
* Death Lotus
o Base damage decreased to 40/50/60 from 50/65/80
o Now scales off of both attack damage and ability power rather than one or the other
o Now hits the closest 3 targets rather than 3 random targets
o Cooldown reduced to 60/55/50 seconds from 60
So yep, BB has a AP AND AD scaling, as well as DL!
For starters, it's a pure Attack Damage build, as I clearly noted throughout the guide. Reason being? Read the DESCRIPTION!
It seriously annoys me so much, when I go to all of the effort to explain everything about what I have chosen, and then have some know-it-all comment on my build, without even reading a quarter of it.
As you will note, the Sheen, is for the 100% damage bonus after using an ability. Considering that Shunpo is an ability, and after using it, it puts you into melee range of the enemy, the synergy between these two things is spectacular.
Another thing, is the Rylais. Considering that Katarina can throw out her abilities faster than she can auto attack (and with more utility, I might add), A Rylai's was more than synergetic, as whenever a bouncing blade is thrown, it slows, whenever Kat Shunpo's to an enemy, they are slowed, and most importantly, whenever Kat uses Death Lotus, the enemy is slowed, thus, increasing their time in the range of the ultimate.
I would actually like you to at least scan through a bit more of my build, as I see that you have made some nice builds, and wasting your time and effort like your first comment, really does you no favors.
The Bloodthirsters were used, because they offer the most attack damage, and considering that we're going for an AD build on an ability spiker, we don't want any of the annoying effects from other damage items (Such as the Black Cleaver's armor reduction, which is useless).
I think that you will find, that the AD was best chosen, as the damage will apply both to minions, Kat's bouncing blade and her ultimate, as well as when in effect with the Sheen (Which, I might add, will give you, like, 820 damage on hit).
If you note in my Cons section of the guide, I have stated that the AP was wasted on the Rylai's and Sheen (which is why I haven't bothered to upgrade it into a Lichbane), and what ever small amount of AP was granted, was wasted for the ultimate (as it chooses the higher number of either AD or AP,) and is marginally useful for the Shunpo (However, the magicPen was more useful for it's damage factor).
I think that you will find, if you started reading people's guides more carefully, and actually gave the time to give a decent amount of feedback to people, that your knowledge in LoL would increase substantially.
Seriously, was the only thing that you read, was that this is my second guide? And as soon as you saw that, you figured it was a waste of your time? Gah...
Oh, and @ SixSonatas, I think that you will find, that Kat's Bouncing Blade only scales with Attack Damage, and her Shunpo only scales with Ability Power. Her ultimate, however, will take the higher amount of either the AD or AP, making Hybrids fairly useless, which, *again*, I noted in my description -.-
You might want to note that in your 'Currently being worked on' Kat build ^_^
