there's a reason I've been telling people "not for at least five years" in response to the question "Don't you want to have kids yet?" since I was 19

not really. Whether you like having kids or not, they will take up pretty much all of your time and energy and you can't really go out and do fun stuff in the evening if you have kids. What nameless is saying is that she wants to have a couple of years of the fun stuff before considering kids.

I'm saying I'm not ready for them, fun stuff or not. I'm still convinced I will be a horrible mother and I should probably get past some of the baggage causing that before I even think about actually having children.
Both partners should be ready in all aspects when they are planning to have children. Just loose that baggage bit by bit, and you're one step ahead! But, I'm just not going to dig deeper to the topic. Only you, Sig Lady and GIF Guy (yeah, I'll call you by both by those names from now on) can decide when to.
Thanks Natuhlee for the sig!

Searz summed that up nicely, also I don't want to end up like her brother just yet.
