I've read somewhere that the base % of times you get your main role was around 20%-25% (1 in 4 or 5 games, don't remember). That's quite low if you ask me, but 75% is way too much.
My main concern right now is the implementation (assuming the 1 in 4/5 is what hit live). I'm concerned that it isn't 1 in 4/5 games but instead 1 in 4/5 champion select instances, which would suck for the inevitable statistical extremes.

I seem to get my main role most of the time.
I do queue up as primary top secondary mid though but i get top a lot more than mid.
I think part of that is due to the relative popularity of mid and how hard it is to get but still.

Yet that's your only option if you want to main only top :P The queue times are already high if you pick top/jungle in gold, adding single lane dynamic queue would only make them higher for everyone.

I'd be willing to wait if it means I can always play my favorite role.

Humble Riven Main
When all your friends are getting out of gold and you're still stuck in silver 5. I feel like if I play more I'll just lose more, but I still want to keep up with my friends. Ugh tilted :((

tfw you're working on one of the longest post you've written in a while and a large part of it becomes (potentially) irrelevant due to new developments.

Sorry :( Have a +rep for your pain.
On the bright side, that means that the MF Higher ups are working on something pretty great! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that based on the communities' feedback to MF:Prime, the devs really **** the bed. I'm really happy to learn that they're actually doing something about it.
Even the vets don't really get to see what's going on behind the scene - when we don't hear of any new developments for 6 months, we just kind of assume the worst. Frankly, even finding out that something new is being implemented is quite relieving.
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

And in placements I had to play 9 ADC games and only one Talon game.
Most of my games are like a waste of time because I have a 50% win rate on ADC, but I get ADC in 90% of my games, climbing is going to take soooooo long zzzz.
I'm hoping Riot will release some statistics on this issue soon. My experience has been that if you pick support or fill you will almost always get support.
I've heard Mid is the most popular position. Hence to ensure I get jungle my duo partner picks Mid primary and Support secondary. I pick Jungle primary and Mid secondary. That way if I get Mid I give it to him and take the support slot assuming he is feeling Mid that game.
Not happy with the current implementation. I don't expect to get Jungle every game, but I should be getting my primary role like 75% of the time even if that means it takes me longer to queue. Right now it feels like the system is effectively.....oooo, we can keep our queue times down, put him in coach even if that really isn't where they want to be or where they are most successful.
