your stalkera fan of your work and I've been playing a lot withNow with those changes in the jungle, don't you think that was somewhat an indirectly great buff for a champion that take Dragons with ease such as Shyvana?
Either level 4 or level 5 for first drake seems good to me, Shyvana can do it at either level if she went back already (for example,
I have aimed to update the guide for Pre-Season 10 fully when the pre-season started on 20 November but there's probably parts that are still out-of-date, if you spot anything specific please do let me know. I also plan to update some of the videos shown, but need to find good current examples of Shyvana play - if anyone wants to suggest a good Shyvana video in comments, please do!
You can also back early - as soon as you have 350 gold - get a Hunter's Talisman and then you can stay healthy in the jungle for a long time.
In 2015 or so, I used to play Shyvana quite a bit and I used to prefer the CDR build (convenience), but since that isn't really a thing anymore these days, I switched to your guide. I was playing Shyv rather intensely, showing in the fact that she's still my top champion in the profile page by a LARGE margin, even though I basically didn't play her these past two years, sticking to Sivir and other ADCs instead.
I figured it was time I unpacked that Shyvana again and learn the new jungle...
So, I'm reading your guide (love it by the way, so much work went into it, makes reading it enjoyable. Will upvote.) and I have a few questions:
1. Are the items in your item lists at the top of the guide in a particular order? Should I, within reason, buy them in that order?
2. Of the T4 masteries in the Ferocity tree, is Bounty Hunter a solid choice, if I like to play semi-Yolo aggressive tank?
3. Cinderhulk and Sunfire Cape don't stack, right? Why do I find them together in one build in so many guides? Yes, the health of Cinderhulk is amazing, but why is the Sunfire Cape also in there?
4. I haven't jungled in years. I am essentially new to it, you could say, especially with the changes. I like to start new things by focusing on one thing at a time, adding another when I think that I've gotten a feel for the current step. What would you suggest I focus on in my first game? I'll be using your Quick Guide.
5. I'll edit this list as more questions come up, or I can also make new posts each time for your notifications, if you prefer. Thanks for your help!
1. The items are broadly in purchase order apart from boots which I show last, as boots are different every game - I generally go Merc Treads or Ninja Tabi, but very occasionally I'll go Boots of Swiftness, it really depends on the enemy team, who is fed, and whether there's anyone I'm having trouble keeping up with. But: no build is set in stone, you always have to adapt to the game. I almost always start with Bloodrazor and Tiamat, with boots that takes you to 15 minutes in the game, and what happens from there on depends on the game.
2. Yes Bounty Hunter is a fine choice. The T4 masteries in the Ferocity tree are all reasonably similar, giving on average 1.5%-2% more damage, with conditions and tradeoffs for each one. The main difference is
3. Correct, those two don't stack. I can't explain strange decisions taken in other guides.
4. If you're new to the Season 7 jungle, things to focus on:
a. you basically have to start at Red, Blue or Raptors - Red and Blue are easier to take these days as they don't have sidekicks (Red dies faster to physical damage from Q, Blue dies faster to magic damage from W and E) - Raptors does a lot of damage to most junglers, but Shyvana can handle it fine if she has
b. make use of the plants - to heal, to jump barriers (e.g. you can jump into Dragon and Baron pits, or you can jump to Krugs), and for vision. I don't generally use the vision, because the enemy sees you using it, so actually it gives them more information than it gives you (it tells them your position and next intention)
c. timing of respawns is very different from previous seasons, basically there's a pause after you complete your first full clear - most junglers will gank at this time (their level 4, likely level 5 or maybe close to level 6 in mid and top lanes), it's also a good time to back or take Rift Scuttlers etc
d. because of this slow camp respawn time, stealing enemy jungle camps (counter-jungling) is a strong strategy.
I can't track an edited list, please make new posts. I suggest you try a few games and see how it goes. Current meta junglers are probably Lee Sin, Gragas, Amumu, Elise, Master Yi, Xin Zhao, Jax so you'll be familiar with all of those. A new champion
