update on my team project thing:
final grade came out and i got a 44/100 for the final project. final grade dropped from to 89.49, but i emailed the prof and he was nice enough to bump it to a 89.5 which rounds to a 90.
really needed that gpa boost for my grades. still really sucks cuz i put in a lot of effort this semester. maybe if i had enough foresight beforehand i would have done everything, but honestly there's nothing i could have done with people saying the day before the project is due they are almost done with their portions.
guess i never really expected people to lack a fundamental level of willingness to contribute.

The only solution is to ditch going for a 4.0 gpa and go for barely passing grades instead. That way you won't feel bad if your grades aren't perfect.
