Almost all of Katarinas abilities scale with both ap and ad, and pre 6 ad is actually more valuable than ap. Thats why you go long swords before the aptoms.

Hexdrinker works really well with katarinas kit and allows her to survive teamfights against ap comps. Do not build it lategame because it only powerspikes around level 1-9. You can finish maw if necessary early but also lategame.

why would you build hexdrinker? it gives ad. i thoguht katarina was AP

Your build looks fine and the topics you talk about are pretty cool, like powerspikes and decision making for example. However, what keeps this guide from being really good is:

grammar and spelling
nice visual experience (too many colors aren't well receives because Latin letters are small and narrow) with BBCode - we have some guides here on Mobafire for coding!
more in-depth examples/explanations with maybe videos from faker
runes and masteries choices explained (but I think in your case it's not necessary)

You know what my friend, i really appreciate your feedback. As said i am completely new to this site and have no idea how to use it well, but i am actually really greatful. Thank you. I will keep this in mind and improve it on the next guide's coming up. Can you tell me how to put in a vid or pictures? In my knowledge there is no option to put in vids and pictures. To add to jokersprank, if you want other colors besides the same like 10 they give you, Here is the website I use for colors! My guides have some colors I use all across the board for the guide to look neater and brighter! The guide can also look a little messy because it doesn't have much coding or colors with it, but using the resources we gave you can match up to a really great guide!!
