I have one question about steel tempest.
So, the lowest CD possible for it is 1.33 seconds, but the only time I get to that point (without buying berserkers) is at level 18, or with infernal dragons, so I am not certain if there's something that would help me to get 1.33 CD other than buying berserkers for my boots, and most times thats not much of an option, if there's something else I can do or get please let me know.
Very good guide: detailed, well written, nice lay-out, ...
I think I am going to bookmark this and every time I see a
This should be the standard guide anyone who wants to main
If all players thought as much about how to play their champ as you put your thoughts into this build, solo queue would become a much nicer place! ^^
Very good job man, keep up the good work!
Was just scrolling through and noticed the specific matchup details for Azir. As an Azir main, what you wrote was totally right. It was the only thing that caught my eye. Good job on that, most people don't even know how to go against Azir as Yasuo. I literally wrote the opposite on my guide saying "don't waste your Q or he'll bash your head in".
Other than that, your guide is SUPER organized.
-You put Zed as a high threat, when really, a decent Yasuo player should find this one of the easiest lanes.
-Annie was put as a low threat, but good Annie players can out play Yasuos since Annie's W goes through Yasuo's windwall, in which she can stun with, and whenever Yasuo goes in for short trades, it is easy for Annie to see and use e to reduce damage, and if played right, Yasuo will be the one taking more damage.
-Katarina was also put as a medium threat, but not only is she bad in lane against almost every other mid laner, but especially against Yasuo since he can wind wall her Q and ult, and just autoattack and Q onto her, it is a really easy lane.
-However, I do agree that champions like Ahri, Lux, and Twisted Fate are easy lanes, as most of their abilities can be blocked with Yasuo's W (Wind Wall), which pretty much omits alot of their damage output.
-The games you put in example from op.gg were normal games, which one, I would say is a joke, and two, normal games aren't really important. People usually learn to improve and climb in ranked.
-Runes: Taking scaling defensive runes doesn't appeal to me because of the fact that Yasuo's early game is really strong, and normal defensive runes would add on to that since it gives you the stats straight up, so it is good early game.
-Masteries: Recovery I would say is a better choice, because of a few things. Your keystone mastery is Fervor of Battle, and not one such as Grasp of the Undying or Warlord's Bloodlust, which provides lifesteal/healing to sustain in lane. Without that, you only have feast to heal up in your current mastery page. Not to mention, Yasuo is not a tank (especially not with this build), and so Unyielding, that provides more armor and magic resist, would be less promising in lane where health regen would be really good to heal up.
-Top Lane: Jayce was placed as high threat, but actually you can windwall his strong ranged abilities, and if you do that, you will win in prolonged melee fights. This lane should not be a problem in my opinion.
-Other than that, I would say taking Doran's Blade as a starting item is really good for the damage and lifesteal, but that's mainly if you're confident. If you are going to be poked down. Doran's Shield start should be good.
Sorry if I made this too long lol but this is just my feedback. :)
Unyielding comes into play to get higher value from ninja tabis, maw of maltmorius, and tank items if you invest in them
you are right about everything else though
