Why are you suggesting to only put one point in Q for the early game? The invisibility for the Q does not last long at all without a few points in it. I could not even fathom trying to get an early gank off without putting 3 points in Q at level 5 for the longer invisibility time. I find your skill order to be very wrong and extremely misleading to those who are trying to play Shaco for the first time
Also, what's with your jungle pathing? You "updated" this guide for patch 9.10 so that should include the new Scuttle crab changes. But your pathing videos all include taking the scuttle crab before 3:15 which is when the scuttle crab now spawns. This would be understandable since the patch is relatively new but you literally updated your guide with 9.10, yet the pathing is outdated, so why did you put 9.10 in the title?
After looking through the guide, it kinda shines light on why you have a 43% winrate on Shaco. You really aren't qualified to be making a guide for him, and you're being very misleading by saying you updated the guide for the new patch when it isn't at all.
So for your first question, I do max E often, with only 1/2 points in Q. Now this is my personal preference as it gives you more damage early on. I have also stated in my notes that taking 3 points in Q early is a good way to exert more map pressure! There are also some high elo shaco players, such as "shacotime" that also max E early on.
For your point on the jungle pathing, yes It was out of date. It has since been updated with the most optimal clears for this current patch! The reason I waited to update the clear was because I was unsure of the most optimal clear paths when the jungle change happened. I shouldn't have updated it to 9.10 until I updated that part of the guide, sorry about that!
As for the "43%" winrate, that is not my highest ranked account. I used that account to limit test new builds, runes and clear paths, so my winrate on that is not optimal. This is my highest winrate account here - https://oce.op.gg/summoner/userName=poltron1337
It has a 63% winrate on shaco in diamond.
I also had a 63% winrate in over 800 games last season, so I have a fair idea what I'm talking about when it comes to shaco. Proof here - https://gyazo.com/03050f00b7e0d17df1a69c2e21188af5
I hope that helped clear some things up! If you do have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask them! Thanks!
I started the game & immediately rushed over to the wolves. I attempted the box placements but ig the box timed out as soon as the wolf spawned, where the other 2 killed one of the small wolves for me. Cleared red, quickly cleared blue; still level 2 since scuttle spawns later, so I decided to see if I could cheese the enemy jungler, which was a Pantheon.
Needless to say, Pantheon got a first blood.~~
I got set way back, attempted to gank my top laner Jax who was up against a Vayne. Killed Pantheon, who showed up, while giving Vayne the kill on me.
I'm behind 2 levels, so I decide to steal some of Pantheon's Jungle and grab a scuttle before he secured it, then headed bot. We killed the enemy Draven & Yuumi as I planned, though I was still behind. Luckily, our mid lane Caitlyn was losing to their mid lane Caitlyn so I was able to come in and push her off, then secure two of the waves while our Caitlyn was afk raging her keyboard at someone. That gave me some good gold advantage and a level; still behind in terms of Pantheon who had strong jungle presence and could quickly kill anyone.
They're ahead, maybe a 3000 gold advantage, taking baron like they should. I'm looking around and seeing if there's any wards around it I can destroy with Duskblade of Draktharr passive, hoping to maybe secure a free entrance for my team to help counter-play with a surprise ambush. I find one by my blue, on the way over, so I go ahead and kill it, then ping my team that it's safe to go this way.
Unfortunately, they didn't go that way and decided to just collapse from all directions, so I went ahead and followed them in.(This was about 20 seconds after they already started baron, so when we got vision of it, it had around 1800 HP). My sneaky *** ignores them all fighting my team and beating me down and just rush right over to Pantheon, who continued to wittle it down and ignore the fight breaking, & I smited it, giving us the Baron.
I then ulted and proceeded to get a Triple kill, while our Jax gets a double. Turns out Yuumi is so squishy, I can 1 shot her with my E, so that happened. Killed off the Vayne & then the Pantheon as quick as I could, Igniteing the Vayne so her ult would be useless, then Jax stunning him( Pantheon) and breaking his shield so I could get my Backstab crit off and delete him.
I had everyone muted since i was doing the worst(except for the Jax because I helped him out earlier and he was a nice guy) and I decided to unmute them so I could receive the praise I deserved for that outplay. I received the nicest compliments for it along the lines of, "Well, you're still ****." & "You fed the whole time and throwing the game.", so I went ahead and just muted them again.
After that, however, I bought a bunch of items and started 2-shotting the ballsy Draven & still 1-shotting the Yuumi... lol. They were all playing squishies, so buying the lethality items made the game alot easier, to the point where I could 1v2 Caitlyn & Vayne. We pushed to end and ended up winning a very sore game, with me being the highest on the stat page & a KDR of 10/4/15.(Not that KDR matters in a game like League, it just surprised me that I went from a feeder to the guy who turned it around)
Anyways, I got into the post-game lobby, thanked everyone for playing, gave myself a well deserved pat on the back, & left the lobby to come post this with satisfaction.
Your guide really helped out. If it wasn't for the fact that you gave detail on Jungling, I'd be stumped. I've never been a great Jungler, & it definitely isn't my forte, but somehow, this made it woosh by. Thank you very much, DBB. Keep up the good mentoring!
Thanks for your feedback, every comment helps!
Could you add some guides/advices/vids for different roles/styles? There are mainly AD jungle Shaco, but I know he is good one with AP build and sometimes can be perfect playing toplane
