CURRENT IGN: PoItron
I'm a veteran shaco player from the OCE server! I have peaked Challenger 159 LP in season 8 and Masters 102 LP in season 9. I have browsed through many different builds, many of which being the full lethality build. I especially like his ability to counter jungle early and the slick attributes that his kit has to allow him to live even though it seems impossible. Although season 9 has been harsh on shaco at times, I feel that shaco can still be played as a full lethality assasin and also an assasin/bruiser with the help of trinity force!

NOTE: I hope you enjoy the guide, and any feedback is greatly appreciated!
This guide will be updated regularly and at every patch. I am currently working on making it more in depth, with the hopes of adding videos to demonstrate early clearing, counter jungling and ganking more easily. I hope you enjoy my guide and feel free to leave a comment and an upvote if you do enjoy! Thanks.

Shaco is simply in my opinion, one of the most enjoyable characters to play in league of legends. The thrill you can get from stomping an enemy adc and killing them until they are 0/10/0 and tilted off the earth is fantastic! Although shaco's kit is best when used in the jungle, although he can be played in the lanes as AP or AD. His unique kit allows shaco to assassinate high priority targets with little counterplay if unaware of his presence. His combos and his ability to outplay always gives me a fun time playing him. If you are new to shaco and looking to pick him up, I would highly recommend him as he has some fairly simple combo's to pick up and with the help of this guide, you will be stomping your ranked games in no time!
Now, if you want your match history looking like this,

definitely give this guide a read, as I'm sure there is something in here that you will find helpful! This guide will be more for people that have played shaco before, and know his basic mechanics/kit so if you are just picking up shaco as a new champion, this guide will help you in most aspects but just not the combos.
Pros
- Strong invades
- Exceptional damage during the mid game
- Fun to play
- Has many different build paths
Cons
- Difficult to master
- Must have good map awareness to counter jungle well
- Gets punished hard for mistakes
- Must build a duskblade to get damage

The most reliable keystone for Shaco this patch after dark harvest got gutted. Fleet Footwork is also a keystone that can be run, but i prefer Electrocute for the bonus burst damage it provides.

Almost a must on shaco as you will always be getting that extra bit of lethality every time you Q into combat.

Now, this rune can be swapped out for zombie ward if you feel like you need some more vision control on the map. I take Eyeball Collection for the increased power when snowballing a lead.

The best option in this row. Out of combat move speed to help you roam and pressure objectives much more easily.

A pretty standard rune for junglers these days. It helps clear, and give some bonus AD to pack a punch.

This rune combined with Absolute Focus will give you a nice amount of bonus AD at around the 20 minute mark. You can opt to take waterwalking over this if you wish to get a stronger early game and contest scuttle crabs more often.

The most stable and reliable keystone for Shaco this patch.

The best option in this row. Gives some nice lethality to help burst down opponents. A must have.

A very nice rune to have, especially when running electrocute as it allows you to snowball any lead you get that much faster.

This is honestly my favorite rune to take as a jungler. The bonus out of combat movement speed is huge and coupled with boots of mobility, you will be zooming around the map.

Important on shaco as you need some attack speed for clearing camps and early skirmishers. Also very nice as the attack speed transfers on the clone too.

Gives you a nice execute for low HP targets. Also gives you some extra adaptive damage for when you kill an enemy. A nice rune to have.
NOTE: Yoummus Ghostblade can be swapped out for Maw of Malmortius against heavy ap team comps, but will GREATLY decrease your ease of assassinating priority targets and thus, should be considered ideally only for bruiser shaco.
After this continue to go and buy Guardian Angel and Essence Reaver for more damage. Take Last whisper if the enemy carrys have armour items. Lastly, upgrade your tiamat to titanic or ravenous hydra depending on the burst.
In most scenarios, you will want to pick up either an LDR or a Mortal Reminder, as the enemy team will most likely be getting some form of armour.
NOTE: Tiamat should ALWAYS be upgraded last, as the stats from upgrading it aren't better than other item choices.
For the HYBRID shaco build, you will want to buy a dark seal first back, and then rush tiamat into a duskblade. Get mobility boots whenever you can. After that, build into a hextech gunblade, starting with hextech revolver. With these items, you will be able to one shot any squishy even through ninja tabis. Get a stopwatch after this, and build it into either a Guardian Angel, or a Zhonya's Hourglass depending on your playstyle. Feel free to sell your dark seal now, or upgrade it if you are very ahead and want to pressure your lead.
Please refer to the video above for an example of this clear.
Place the first box at the 29 second mark. This will be at the Red Buff.Place the next box down at the red buff, then continue to place the final two at the Krug camp. Once this is done, you will take the red buff, then proceed to take the Krugs. Once you have finished the Krugs, proceed to full clear your topside, starting with your wolves.
Note: Using smite on the blue buff will ensure a fast and healthy clear!
Once you finish clearing your topside, proceed to take the top scuttle crab. After you have completed all of this, you will have lvl 4 and be able to gank either the top or middle lane!
Please refer to the video above for an example of this clear.
Start by placing 2 boxes at the blue buff, with your first box being placed at 29 seconds. After you have completed this, you will want to put a box just out of range of the gromp. Put your 4th box on the blast cone aiming towards the wolf camp! Once you have completed this, start by taking the blue buff, then proceed to kill the gromp as well.
Note: Make sure you use Q as a gap closer between camps, this will increase your overall clear speed!
Take the blast cone over to the wolves and proceed to take all of them. After this,
you now have two options. You can either full clear your topside (Raptors - Red- Krugs) or you can take your Red Buff for level 3. If you choose to full clear, you will want to smite the Raptor camp as well as the Ancient Krug (the biggest krug in the camp). If you choose to take Red Buff, make sure you smite if and then proceed to look for a gank on either top or mid lane!
Key Points to remember
Keep watch of the enemy jungler and their camps
If they are ganking on the opposite side of the map, use the opportunity to take their camps, gank or take an objective. (Drakes, Towers, Rift Herald etc.)
This is your prime time as shaco, before the 5v5 team fights, where it is quite easy to find picks and deal damage before people get resistances. You NEED to make use of the kills you get, GET OBJECTIVES. Too many times, especially in lower elo games, people will get kills but not pressure a lead, but instead just go back to farming and freezing lane.
NOTE: This chapter is aimed for mainly plat and below players, as from my experience this happens in those ranks the most. If you are diamond or above, these points aren't always going to be the best option, so use your better judgement on your situation.
This is a recent one where my team came back from a 250hp nexus!
Back when i was playing AP shaco top lane, i did manage to pull this off... somehow...
A quick juke into outplay of a FULL AP RAKAN MID
