Isn't having 15 ADCs in "ideal" a bit counterproductive?

well the implication is that essentially Janna works well with everyone. Some ADC benefit more from different supports, but they are in good hands w her nonetheless since she has her unique shield (AD boost benefits all ADC), a lot of peel and even tools to engage.

I have a question : do you build Ardent Censer if your ADC is Jhin ?

so one thing to keep in mind is that Ardent Censer is generally a great purchase regardless of the AS buff because of the other two unique passives - one of which increases your movement speed (great for Janna) and the other your shielding/healing power (& this is all in addition to the AP, CDR and mana replenishment too).

That being said, unless you have someone else on your team who would benefit from the AS (like Irelia, Twitch, Jax... anyone who is AA-reliant) then you can afford to skip or at the very least delay Ardent when Jhin is your ADC.

ding ding 😄 the headless horseman is a character originally from Washington Irving's 'the legend of the sleepy hollow' ; hence the name of the guide too!

Wrong. Spell thief is the worst item to Janna and the worst thing to Max W. I have 505K with Janna and im was Eune 621 best Janna main. Star with Coin, because u will get wards faster, u will get more mana back. For runes take cookie and timewarp tonic, u wil ldont need that lilbit green rune to heal a lilbit better and shield, its too useless. You are support, you dont must to poke the enemy, Janna is a great disengage support focus on this. Mobafire should help a lot to learn about champions, about items. If u star Coin, rush for Ardent or Mikael, second item for Redemption, third item Solari, Redemption more important bc of cdr., always get the supportive items if u go with coin, if sadly u go with spellthief, rush for Ardent or Athene, then two slowly thing idk what the item's name, i play the game hungarian. xd Jnna's barrier is scale from AP, so you should stack AP for better heal and shields.

the way you play Janna is completely valid and lots of pros do do E max and Coin, play passively and focus on utility. Lots of pros also like to do W max and play Janna as a poke support by maxing W and getting AP in items. Both are valid and I personally prefer to play in the latter style. I have highlighted that it is my personal preference to do this in a couple places in the comments/guide and do have Coin start featured in the guide; so I don't think it's a problem that this is my main build in the cheatsheet.

What you're recommending as a build (both ardent, redempt, miakel solari AND the AP one if I sadly go spellthief's) are in the guide as recommended build paths.

For runes, my build cheat sheet doesn't recommend the healing or shielding green runes, those are just options in the guide itself. My build recommends Cosmic Insight and cookies.

I didn't said your build is invalid, just to start with spellthief is really risky, and it's more wiser to start with coin, u will don't know your enemies skills how good are them and u will cant stop champions who play their combos twice or three times, i mean Katarina or champions who make slow and aa fast because Janna's E don't give enough barrier what u will need and in early your shield's cooldown is really really high. Also if the enemy is too poke champion, u will take a really big risky to start with spellthief. Also Janna is a big counter of Leona. Janna can Cancel Leona's E and this is a big thing against her.

I didn't think you said that my build was invalid, I was just telling you that I think both are valid and therefore I don't believe it is wrong for my guide to prefer one rather than the other!

I understand what you mean by saying Coin is wiser. In many circumstances - when you're in soloQ with an unfamiliar ADC, against all-inners, etc - you will want to take Coin.

However, in an ideal world Spellthief's is your go-to. You WANT to play poke Janna, be aggressive, get AP and make a big impact early game if you can. That should be, imo, your default and that's why it's in my cheatsheet as the #1 option.

If you're in a position where you can't play aggressively - like I said a bad matchup for example - then you go with the next best thing and take Coin, protect your ADC and go for a more conventional utility-based build.

And yeah you're right, Janna is a notorious Leona counter. I mention that in the abilities chapter under Zenith Blade :)

As a Janna main i'm also happy if i can learn from other players, also sorry for my misunderstanding, i'm just living in the ardent meta when Janna was the support queen. I miss those times. :D Sad but it's not a support meta or Assasin or Tank, it's ap support's meta mybe. That always makes me sad when i cant heal whole my team as Soraka with W... Also Janna was great too with Ardent and Solari combo with Mikael's crucible, i should cry for those times, true, that was insane strong, but that was a chance to carry your team as support and that was an annother way to carry without damage. Now only damage champions can carry like Zed, Brand, Lux, Mordekaiser, Garen, but dude, wtf, Mordekaiser and Garen and Darius are tanks, why they have insane dmg? xD I'm always thought tank's job to use the armor and hp to take more dmg to win a teamfight, also Jax is too tanky with insane dmg, its looks unfair. ;c

Really useful, helped with learning Janna and then keeping that skill up till later in ranked. Personally I prefer to build a death cap or something else instead of Mikaels, but Mikaels works just as well. Loved it, thanks!

Currently would you prefer the Inspiration-tree with free Boots and cdr 5% or the
Revitalize+ Font of Life, tested both, cant decide, is it more personal preference?
What would be your Advise for Goldelo?

Do you upgrade the Boots after your First recalls- Section? or try to rush one core item before?

When do you upgrade to eye of the Oasis? immediately or invest the Gold in the Parts of the first Coreitems and buy Eyeof the Oasis after for example Redemption?

Sorry for so many Questions,iam just not sure because its an overall advise, but iam only Gold.
Happy if you could answer a Noob =)

Thanks for the compliments LowMolotov, much appreciated! As for your questions:

1) I think it is mostly down to personal preference, I don't think resolve is bad for sure, but nowadays I always take inspiration for the Boots, CDR, Stopwatch or Pots. These are all good runes in my opinion and you can combine them up to your personal preference. These days I've been taking stopwatch more and more (plus CDR) because usually it can prevent your death during laning phase or sometime in the game which is really helpful.

I'm assuming when you say advice for gold elo, you mean advice for the runes? I think it doesn't matter too much but I think the vast majority of people these days spec into Inspiration as a secondary.

2) I usually upgrade my boots after I've bought sightstone and upgraded my gold item, but before getting my first big item.

3) You can upgrade Oasis immediately because it is very cheap, but you can also delay it if you prefer to get a different item sooner.
