League of Legends (LoL) Question: Who Should I Pick Up For Jgl?

Who Should I Pick Up For Jgl?

So i main Evelynn and have a good winrate on her but I am concerned that being a OTP isn't the best way to improve so I was wondering if anyone could suggest some other junglers. I am looking into Jax and Warwick and can go Amumu if i have to but his early can be easily exploited and I want junglers that can carry.

Of those, I would suggest Warwick. However there's nothing wrong with OTPing Evelynn. Even if you want to round out your play later on by learning other champions, it's helpful to restrict your champion pool while you're climbing. It's easier to learn the game when you're only playing a few champions rather than a bunch of different ones.

If you want something meta you could pick up Graves or Xin Zhao.

Ok thanks - I'll practice some more Warwick. I do enjoy Evelynn but I just want to have people to fall back on when she isn't the best pick. I have tried Graves and he was fun (might buy) but I tend to stay away from meta picks as they aren't original and bound to get nerfed or something. Once I reach mid gold would it be wise to stop trying to climb and focus on expanding my champ pool a little?

You can one-trick your way all the way to Challenger. The rank you're at doesn't really matter. It's up to you whether you prefer to try and focus your efforts on one champion or try to expand your pool. Just know that your climb may slow down if you choose to branch out to other champions.

Personally I'm not happy playing only one champion so I tend to play with a handful, but my best climbs have been when I've buckled down and played the same champion every game.

I suggest Warwick too any day, run warwick with dark harvest and build tank and you can solo carry games because you can heal some dmg back/tank and put out crazy amounts of dmg and it is very easy to do this in lower elos

Yeah I've seen Jungle Angel's guide for him and it made me wanna play him more especially with Triforce

If you still want to run an AP jungler, Taliyah is a great jungler right now. You do have to be sure that you land her skillshots but you can certainly carry with her. If you want other carry junglers you can also try Graves and Warwick for the meta junglers. If you want an entirely different playstyle, try playing Rammus. He is amazing against ADC's and has a very simple build. It is so much fun to taunt the carry, pop your shield, and watch the carry delete themselves.

i have tried Rammus in the past but never really considered him as a pick because tanks don't tend to carry as often and adcs arent even a thing in this meta xD but ill see if i end up against a full ad team he will defo be useful

This is true. While Rammus won't necessarily be going 25/0/0, he has high KP because his Q makes him super mobile. For an off-meta tanky carry, try Wukong and build him as an assassin. His pasive gives him good defensive stats and the enemy will underestimate your damage. It is insane how much he can dish out.

K thanks bro I'll be sure to play him more when I need an AD fighter instead of an AP assassin. I'll check out your guide when I have time

The way I OTP in ranked is I look at my one trick and who counters him, then I go to the main counters and learn who counters them so I can have all of my bases covered. I basically have a One Trick main and then 2-3 champs I can pick from if I get heavily countered!

Good idea! I'll look into that cos I have struggled especially against Udyr in the past.

Another thing to do is in normals whenever you see someone counter your main, just pick your main so you can practice the counter pick matchup

lol I do admit that Warwick is pretty good but I think you should try Jax too; they have pretty different kits, see which one you like better. Honestly though, if you really like playing Evelynn then you should just play her! Keep another jungler as a backup.

Yeah used Warwick when Evelynn got banned and still carried. I've played Jax before and did well but my brain wasn't turned on and I didn't make the right plays so idk I'll probs bring him out in future games when Eve isn't a great pick but yeah. Thanks for the reply

No problem; anytime. But, yeah a lot of people start hating a champ just because they only played one game with them and it didn't turn out well. Glad to see you're not like that! GLHF for future games. ;)
