Edit: If you mention this somewhere in your guide and I missed it, I apologize.
I can talk about the pros/cons for mid + top Yasuo and maybe it can help you decide where you want to play him:
Midlane Yasuo:
+ Can be blindpicked most of the time because he does well into a lot of mages. The other champs you will play against are often skill matchups.
+ You have more impact on the map during the laning phase. You can roam to top/botside or even help your jungler invade or fight for objectives like scuttle / dragon / herald.
- Mid is the easiest lane to gank for a jungler. Yasuo doesn't have a reliable escape tool.
- Mid is also mostly known for being the waveclear and "key" AP/magic damage of the team. If you pick an AD mid like Yasuo and your team refuses to pick AP somewhere else, you are screwed. -> 5x ninja tabi + full armor + point and click CC from the enemy team.
Toplane Yasuo:
+ Your team can pick AP + waveclear mid so you're not playing with a full AD comp.
+ Splitpush with Teleport. Yasuo is a REALLY strong splitpusher because of his kit and scaling. With Teleport you can pressure on a sidelane and still be ready to help your team if a fight breaks out.
- Risky to blindpick because of some really bad matchups like Pantheon and Renekton. There are other picks he also struggles against: Jax, Darius, Fiora, Riven but they CAN be won if you are experienced.
- Top can be very punishing in higher elos. Bad wave management or difficult matchups can lead to the enemy top + jungler camping/diving you over and over. (So basically top is jgl difference)
I hope this helped you :)
