imo, nautilus is not a threat at all to swain, in fact swain counters him pretty hard. he constantly has a higher win rate, and look up the match up stats. Especially post 6, if naut hooks, u can just ult and a lot of people (especially lower elo) wont build mr into a swain support.
on counter stats, swain has a 56% win-rate into naut

how come you max q before w on swain supp?
I figured the lowered cd and range on the w would be better than q

Hi can you add some basic combos for trading and team fights?

Swain doesn't have complicated combos. Your basic one is E>W>(pull)>Q. In teamfights try to put your W under as many enemies as possible, then Q or E them if you have the option to. Just spam Q and use E if someone is running away from the fight to pull them back in. You want to be in as many enemies as possible to cast R2 on them, that's why i always build zhonya as a second item. Big brain play is to flash into them with R2 maxed out and absolutely destroy them. IF they are running away from your R (reasonable lol) use W to slow them down. While, yes, im not the creator of this guide, i have 800k (as of writing it) on swain and i know what im saying( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ).

This full build only has 10% CDR? Ive been playing this build and really like it, Im an Illaoi main so this is def a bit differnt so maybe im wrong but it seems like he really relies on his abilities to deal damage so why wouldnt you want 40% Id love to hear the reasoning behind this!

Good guide, but personaly don't understand why start whith Q instead of E. E has 2 hits and CC and allow you to collect a soul fragment.

I start Q because usually my level 1 priority is to clear all the CS and get level 2 before my opponent, then I get E. Starting E usually ends in me missing farm. The soul fragments I get are not very useful until 6 anyway, unless you're talking about the little bit of healing you get. It's good to start E if your team is invading so you can help them, otherwise to get a kill level 1 you better have ignite. Heck you could even start W if you want to, and force the enemy jg to smite their buff because you use W to try and steal it. The first ability is a strategical choice, I choose to clear minion waves.

Why is GP not on the extreme danger list? A good gangplank can can 1v9 every game

That's a good point, I will add him somewhere. Honestly the reason why he is not there is because I was too lazy to add all the possible top lane match-ups into that part of the guide. Look Leona is the only champ I even have in the synergy side, and there's a lot more who could be. I'll update those sections again soon.

Im a first time Swain and so far the games ive played have been fairly good. The top lane Swain build is a little rough early game not sure if that's because im new or because the build. Either way it look solid to me!

Early game Swain can be pretty rough in general depending on the match-up, just focus on farming until you hit level 6, and take smart trades till you get there. Best scenario is if your jungler comes in pre-6 you guys should definitely be able to kill your opponent, or at least get Flash out of them, as long as you hit your E or if your jungler hits any crowd control on the enemy. New player. Were you sarcastic when you said that you were happy with the rework? You said "more broken and straightforward so anyone can carry with him", which sounds like you feel they took all complexity out of his kit. Did you prefer the old version?
EDIT: Forgot to say thanks for the guide. I'm sure it will be more useful when I can actually play the game, but it looks good so I'm sure I'll be back. I usually out-cs but still end up losing, so I have yet to master the art of gitting gud. I think maybe i need to attack more, like I get more cs, but i don't really stop them from getting cs.
DOUBLE EDIT: Hey, how do you recommend trying him top? I usually try new champs in AI to learn how they work without screwing a team, but bots always put 2 top, which makes it harder. Should I just go into pvp, mute all, and lose until I win?

I'm sure you just need a little more practice. Just keep playing with Swain until you are getting less than 5 deaths every game and a positive KDA. If you are dying more than 5 times in a game you are being too aggressive. Swain naturally scales with the game to become stronger as time goes on, with every build I suggest. The less you die, the more farm you can get, the more farm you get, the better you can build, the better you build, the stronger you are, the stronger you are the more kills you get. Take things slow, and methodically. Good Luck!
