I feel like its only right that to share this with you, as a fellow Shen player. I used a slightly modified version of your Shen Sustain build and practiced about 50 games with it. Using said build, I got my first ever pentakill--on Shen no less!!!

Thanks again for making this awesome guide as it got me started on my path of the Shen-sational ninja!

That's awesome to hear!!! I'm happy that my guide gave you an idea on what to start with. Overall, it is up to you and what you think will work best with Shen. I just provided the basics =)

This is a Shensational guide! I think I might become a Shen main because of it. Thank you for going into so much detail and making your guide easy to follow. It's a massive help to a noob like me.

Thank you for enjoying my guide! I hope this guide gave you an idea on how to start playing Shen!

XD! Also loved your Making a Guide, Guide. It helped me greatly when making my guide.

Really great Shen guide, can tell you put a lot of effort into it, but why isn't there a section on how to play Wukong?

literally my 5th match following this guide (love the approach velocity frozen mallet build) ****ing carried lmao https://prnt.sc/q7uykr

Holy **** that's an amazing score. Your build is super good for peeling and being a full utility super HP tank for your team. Approach Velocity/Frozen Mallet build is very good when you're doing a protect carry comp/peel/stick.

Brilliant guide, I feel Shen is one of the most unique and fun champs out there, thanks so much for putting in the time to write this its really helped me :)

Thank you for enjoying my guide! Shen definetly is a unique and very fun champion with high outplay potential. I'll be updating more of this guide during season 10 as well.

Hey.
I love this guide and i will use it!
Keep going man! Thanks

Thanks for your kind words <3!

I love the idea of running approach velocity and building the frozen mallet but i was wondering when or in what order do you actually build it?

(16) |

If I'm doing okay or quite well, I'll pick it up after my waveclear item such as Sunfire Cape. It's usually built 2nd or 3rd in my builds. If you ever catch me streaming on youtube, I often build and run this page to great success.

Great guide. I appreciate you taking the time to make a quality guide on shen. He's one of my favorite top laners. Your guide is great at giving builds for different situations and uses. Please keep up the good work!

Nice Job!

Thank you for your compliment! :D

Good guide but i usually play him on topo

This is a top guide.

So I have to ask this because its my main role and I honestly do this. Do you think this build would work for jungle Shen? I know I used to run grasp on him in the jungle and it worked fairly well.

(16) |

I'm not the greatest at jungling though if you would like my insight on it, I actually run something totally different for jungling. I run Predator Shen taking Ingenious Hunter (2nd rune is preference). I then build a bunch of active items (Tiamat, Randuin's, Locket, Predator, Zz'rot, Jungle Item) and call my build MMO Active Build Predator Jungler Shen LOL. The Ingenious hunter when stacked (easy to do as Shen) will reduce the CD on your active items to pretty low amounts which makes teamfighting/utility more useful.

I love this guide it so in depth and has great humor which makes it a fun read. Being a support main i think i might just add him to my collection of supports i play, saying that any tips on playing Shen support?

(16) |

I mainly play him in the top lane, but I've been thinking about doing a Shen support guide since I do it often as well. Some people find Shen support sketchy, but when done well can be very nice having an extra tank/peeler.

A decent amount of this guide can be used for Shen support with regards to Spirit Blade manipulation and Spirit's refuge use, however as a support you wouldn't really be buying some of the items I have listed.

Shen support has favourable and some very unfavourable matchups. Shen support can do well both in the aggressive taunt role or the very defensive peel role. For a build, I prioritize, Face of the Mountain, Locket, and Ruby sightstone for maximum shield and denial. Try checking below in my Spirit's Refuge section to see what you can block, can give you a good idea against which champions he does well against. (Blitzcrank, Leona, Braum)

If you need more help, check out my Youtube, I think I had a recent all support Shen game stream.
