i have a question i am thinking of picking up irelia but im not really that good of a player.is irellia one of those champs that are prettty hard to master but not that hard to pick up or is her hard to pick up and i should become better at tha game before starting playing her?

She is definitely hard to master, but you shouldn't let that discourage you. Practicing high skillcap champions can improve some of the skills necessary to play them much faster than if you practice other champions first. For example, I've always stayed away from skillshot-reliant champions because I have bad aim, and because I don't practice skillshot champions, my aim is bad! It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you want to pick up Irelia but you're not good enough to do well with her yet, the solution to that is to start practicing her.

Since they removed Chrysalis what should i use instead?

Amazing Irelia guide. It improved my gameplay in my very first match after trying out this build and playstyle. Great fun too!

Wouldn't Lich Bane also be optional if the enemy team builds armor? It gives AP not AD but your Ult and E both have very high AP ratios, and Lich Bane as an AA buffing passive.

No, doesn't do much damage if you don't have AP. You'd be better off just investing in some armor pen if you're really that worried about the enemy's armor.

Except that @ Warefareoid said, which is true, in case you actually build lich bane to counter them building armor, the damage from lich bane will be extremely low because you dont have enought ap, and also the spell blade passive doesnt not work, if you have build any other spell blade item.

Not rly since Irelia really needs the atk speed from tri or burst from AD items. Passive doesn't scale on AP, which is your biggest damage source. You can whiff your E since it's a weird skilshot + your ult is just better used as marking tool and stopping movement than investing a item into upping its damage. If they build armor, then you're better off building on-hit like BOTRK and wits end to mitigate how much they reduce.

Hello Vapora, any thoughts on mid?
I'm interested in picking her up midlane, but I'm not certain on the playstyle I should utilize. Is going for level 2-3 all-in the way to go or would you instead shove and roam?
Also, would you ever take instead of in the midlane? Against non-bruisers/tanks it feels kinda useless in lane.

It's definitely viable still for sure. And yeah you want to all-in as much as possible on Irelia, she's brutal in 1v1s especially on mid lane, you just want to try and crush mid as much as possible, the roaming can come later if you're already fed, for the most part your focus is on crushing your lane opponent.

And yeah PTA is viable mid but there's not a great difference between the two, so you can use whichever you prefer while making sure you're using in tank matchups (if you ever face those on mid).
