This is exactly why we take Q, we use its strong base dmg to clear the waves. You usually want to match your opponents wave clear at times. When you see your enemy pushing the wave, if you can, just walk up and match the clear, use Q and autos and if your JG is near ask him to help out, if not just sit under turret and take the farm, focus on last hitting the creeps you can secure and ignore the ones that are gonna die to turret shots, also if you think that you're gonna have a tough laning phase, take TP so you can recall and TP back.
