I love this build!

I have been playing Kog'Maw a bit here and there through-out this season and recently hit m5 on him, but only ever as AD crit builds. I just never gave in and tried AP. Until the other day that is. I looked around for some builds that seemed good to me, and decided to give this one a try. I fully admit that it didnt seem that good to me at first, and was very odd for me to start this set of abilities as someone who only played AD before, and the autos were weak and slow making it hard to farm. then came late game. Kog has always had a great late game, but holy mother of cheese-wiz I was cracking skulls and breaking hearts 10x harder than the greatest of setts. after a few games I got the general hang of it, just have to play as passive as needed until lvl 6, then start killing tf out of them for gold. early game is kinda meh, but this build is INSANE late game. TYSM for making this <3 !

I'm glad you enjoyed the build and I appreciate the comment. Yeah Kog is a bit of a powerhouse late game, and it's nice to see that Riot is still pushing Kog to have a mid lane presence, with the buffs he's getting an all. Honestly, he's got a lot of build options, and I would try Luden's if you get comfortable with his combos, as it's really fun to play. Again, really appreciate the compliment. You enjoy yourself :)

might have to try ludens soon, but I prefer to use everfrost atm since I get targeted in team fights often, so I can just root and run, and throw a slow back to get safely away. also with this newest patch your idea of using muramana instead of seraphs is a lot more useful, since they made seraphs focus ability haste more than AP, and kog doesnt have much need for that. I still play a lot of crit kog adc, but this build is fun to take mid every now and then to shake things up :D
