FIrst off I want to thank you for your guide! Also, I went Seraphs's Embrace quite a few times and I didn't really get bad results. Why do you advise against going Seraph's?
I am currently in Bronze IV so maybe it just doesn't really matter in my elo. Still though, I want to build the habit of buying correct items so the game gets easier.
So fisrt of all, Seraph's Embrace isn't bad Item for any mages including for Viktor. It's good to have into some burst champions or against champions who is manaless and can give you a shield when you are close to death. However, Viktor doesn't have mana problems especially once you get Mythic Item. Seraph's Embrace should be bought on champions like Anivia, Aurelion Sol, Cassiopeia, Kassadin, Orianna. These champions have serious a lot of mana problems early on and their abilities have high amount of cost mana and have short cooldowns. Without this Item, they won't be able to spam abilities a lot in late game.
Just like I said before, Viktor isn't a mana hungry champion. His high cost mana ability is Death Ray but that is not issue later on after you have few Items. Perhaps, you bought this Item because you want to stack your mana in late game and you want to spam your abilities even more. And also, Bronze players are really bad or they are just new players. So, if you want to buy Seraph's Embrace, you can go for it. I have nothing against this Item. Just be careful, if you fall behind and you don't have much gold for upgrade, you won't be able to do much in late game.
If you got any questions, feel free to ask! And good luck climbing in higher ranks! :)
What do you think about picking "Approach velocity" from inspiration tree?
After evolving w, it always gives you %15 ms when moving towards to an enemy champion.
It is the perfect upgrade.
Wondering what your thoughts are on choosing w to augment 2nd?
Tried to find a section on your thoughts. I'm finding it's very impactful for the team to have the enemy slowed with by q to set up ganks. Also, your E to help with zoning.
had to pick up victor again. Haven't had this much fun since that item that broke the meta with his infinite slows. Guaranteed e2.
Love your your guild.
About 2nd augment upgrade on Gravity Field after Death Ray? The answer is no. It's not useful early as you will not be able to kite enemy champions without upgrading your Siphon Power. It's still best way to upgrade your Gravity Field last after your have upgraded your Siphon Power and Death Ray. That being said, you should upgrade first Death Ray for a fast waveclear and shoving your opponent. Alternatively, you can also choose Siphon Power to upgraded it first if you want to kite enemy champion or run from nasty situation but I would only use against some melee champions. And then last upgrade should be always Gravity Field. Once again, upgrade order: E > Q > W.
If you got any other questions, feel free to ask. :)
I really don't think Viktor Top is viable as this guide is mainly focused on Mid lane. I only play Viktor in Top lane against some champions like Kennen, Rumble or Teemo to counter them or if I am against Irelia in Mid lane, then I swap with my Top laner because I really, REALLY hate Irelia so much as she is my hardest counter as a Viktor player. Yes, you may have an advantage against most melee champions but some champions have a lot of mobility and can engage on you. Also, Top lane has large distance than in Mid lane so if you are near enemy tower, you will be ganked easily by their enemy jungler and you won't be able to escape since Viktor has no mobility. It's not bad for Viktor in Top lane but he benefits much better in Mid lane.
Once again, thanks for your comment! :)
What I do against Akali. I do my best to bully her pre 6 by poking her with my abilties. After lvl 6, I keep distance and farm and poke her with Death Ray and not giving her free kills. I always ward somewhere to see where is she roaming. Usually I farm to scale for late game with my Rune First Strike. Akali isn't late game champion as they will be tankier and start to build defensive items. She also doesn't do well if your team is gathering together and has tons of CC which she hates a lot.
That is my tips against Akali. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me anything. Once again, thank you for your comment. :)
