What build would you reccomend right now for tank maokai support?

I m not a good player but with this build i climp to bronze 1,from bronze 3 in 2 days

When to take Arcane Comet and when to take Aftershock?

I would assume Arcane Comet is taken to synergise poking with an ADC like Ashe or maybe Varus And Aftershock is taken to Hard engage with someone like Samira

Are you able to update this build? The 3 rune options like offense, flex, defense, are wrong on the runes in the lower section than the actual rune section. Also the build text to copy and paste is really not the same as what is shown. Thank you!

This is bloated but the game pacing would either be much tense. Manaflow Band & Gathering Storm Secondary's better. Second Wind's also nice instead of Bone Plating.

for Ability Power items either Relic Shield or Spellthief's Edge were fine as Supportive but just Horizon Focus were strong enough even as the final or fourth item after upgraded boot, Mythic & Support Warding Item so we can focus building other Tank Items especially Sunfire Aegis, Thornmail, Gargoyle's Stoneplate & Spectre's Cowl into either Abyssal Mask or Spirit Visage.

Second ability set is much better than first one as support. Make a main build as tank build for support. Only if you play on top as Maokai is OK to do AP build. You have LVL and money to do AP build. Turbo Chemtank is for champions with an extra move speed, Maokai is slow as hell. The best tank item for Maokai support is Evenshroud. As Maokai support, your job is to make easy damage to your teammates. Second item, Zake's Convergence vs squishy enemies or Knight's Vow vs fighters with tons of healing together with at least Bramble Vest. Third item, both Zake's and Knight's or Winter's Approach. Abyssal Mask is an option if your team has AP champions enemy team same.

Aftershock with no extra resistance. Build for Full AP runes for tank.
