Why is Heartsteel not a recommended mythic for support but good as top? Can I play it as a support or should I always buy locket? Also as a Support, should I eat the enemy or eat the ally for the shiel? Because the DMG on his ult seems underwhelming.

Heartsteel for support tahm kench is just less valuable. Its expensive, and since you are underleveled, you cant just walk up to their top laner to get a stack. Meaening, it takes too long to get to and when you are there you cant proc it on 5 enemies consistently. Jaksho gives more value at a cheaper price, and Locket is utility.

As a support, honestly you can tell when to eat your ally and when to either hold it or spend it on an enemy as time comes. If you feel your ADC is going to get collapsed on and will die, use it on the adc. If there is an enemy that has a huge shutdown and help is on the way, ulting them will stall the fight till your team comes. Ulting your adc for peel and bailing them out is more consistent than ulting enemy.

So do you think support tahm kench is still a good pick or should I look for something else?
Because on every tier List I know, Tahm is very low on as a support. Mostly C to D Tier.

Not tk player, but imma answer my opinion.

Ultimately, meta doesn't matter too much at majority of people's ranks. While it might give worse results than say, a Sona (which is consistently at like 52-53% wr), if you enjoy the champion you end up playing them more, enjoying them more and improving at them faster, thus getting you a higher rank.

Well thank you for the response! I really enjoy tahms neu rework because he seems to be on of the only „real“ tanks with a good and consistent way of gap closing and in lane sustain aswell

Yeah I dont know any "meta" supports that have much sustain (key word on much as champs like rell technically can heal from her q). Although, TK's W is not something I'd really call consistent as it is very telegraphed (making it easy to dodge), easy for enemy to cancel and very committal (If u use it and miss, now u are stuck in melee range). Not saying he is bad or anything, but he is classified as a warden (less engage type) rather than a vanguard (engage type)

Yes. But he is mobile. Also he is pretty much ungankable because he can ult teammate and W out.

Think of tahm kench as one way mobility,

Sure, you can close the gap with W, but you can't go back (until it's up again). You cant just dash willy nilly like Yone, or Leblanc, etc etc (i consider that two way mobility)

Tahm's W doesnt have the safety of Yone and Leblanc. Obviously this is balanced because he is disgustingly tanky, with slow movement speed. Most champions have one way mobility spells, and Tahm is one of them. He is fairly gankable due to his W having a moderate cooldown, so you just play around that as a jungler. If you play passively in lane when you suspect the jungler is hovering your side, then Tahm is reallllyy hard to gank.

So is he a good support or not? I'm kinda confused now.

Also most Supports with any sort of engage donÄt have any ability to get out do they? So Tahm is no different. Also as it is he is a warden so I suppose he should probably play more safe and respond to enemy engages or am I wrong?

Tahm plays similarly to Braum, he is more of a peel support and only engages if he has to.

Ehh, most supports cant get out but their engage is more reliable. Eg. Naut has ult which is point and click, along with his passive root. Leona E if misses doesn't put her in close range, and same with missing the ult, both noncommital moves. I guess it comes down to reliability of hitting the W.

Playable. About as good as pre-rework tahm, when his W was devour. You lack the sustain and unkillable-ness that he once had but he still deals hella damage for a tank

Its okay, a hefty cost for something that honestly isnt that necessary. It also halts getting sunfire second.

i was just wonderin bout the sett matchup i feel like its so favourable for tahm early considering that sett can outscale EVENTUALLY so why is he an extreme threat whenever i played the matchup from either side i found it easier for tahm around plat/diamond elo (my question is why is he that hard what makes that matchup favourable for sett)

It depends on what sett starts, honestly. Through my experience i have fought sett's that start W, making the fight closer than i was used to. Perhaps if sett starts something like Q or E, it would be a cakewalk. What makes the matchup a bit more favorable for sett outside of 1v1, is that he has a stronger engage than you, and overall much more presence in a teamfight due to his W.

So I see you put in warmogs and from experience in previous patches, I find that spirit's visage can just do warmogs' job better by utilizing the gray health from his shield
I was wondering what your take on visage instead of warmogs would be as a sort of substitutional item in the event the enemy team has a lot of magic damage, the MR and health would prove a lot more helpful against that than just the lot of health from warmogs in my opinion.
The other reason I suggest it is just because there's an overall lack of MR in the build sets you've given
Asides from that I don't have any other feedback for this as I'm not smart enough on items or kits to be able to put together what's good or not but from looking at this it seems like some good stuff, updated for the rework as well!

Hello, thank you for your comment! I am not going to lie i completely forgot about Spirit Visage being an item. I will update my guide accordingly. However, The benefit of Warmog's would be granting more damage due to Tahm Kench's passive. Spirit visage is a viable option for more sustain in fights and being able to heal from Tongue Lash more, although you lost some damage.
