Christmas Giveaway Winners!
It's time to reveal the winners of our Special Christmas Giveaway! ❄

Many community members celebrated together by sharing stories and beautiful pictures during the Christmas holidays. We've enjoyed going through all of them and we're finally ready to show you our favourites!

We would like to mention that everyone's stories and pictures were wonderful. They made our Christmas better and we hope you've also had a great time taking part in this event. We've received good feedback once more and we look forward to future community events!

You can find all the winners below. Make sure to click on the images to view them in full size for the best experience! 😊

@ Purrrfect Kitty:
I love love love christmas and turns out, so does my little one. She is very excited about the presents (most of which have been at least partially unwrapped by now...), the special christmas food, grandma and grandpa coming over all the time, and most importantly, the christmas tree! The christmas tree is the wonder of both my little one and our cat, which means our christmas tree is having a very rough season. It is scarcely decorated now that we have 2 predators hunting the poor tree. We put in birds instead of christmas balls, since the little one cant break them as easily. Turns out the cat loves the birds even more (not surprising in hindsight). Long story short: we'll have to rethink the christmas decorations again next year.

Speaking of christmas decorations, in our city center there is a huge, beuatiful christmas tree. My nephews were scared of it when they were little(ler), but not my little girl. She loves it and screamed bloody murder when I wouldnt let her touch the christmas balls. Turns out they are made of plastic and attached very securely, so she cant actually do too much harm.

Christmas trees make everything so cozy and I cant help but smile whenever I see one. Specially now that my little one gets so happy as well.

I wish everyone a merry christmas and a succesful, healthy and happy new year!!

@ Levi 99:
This year I wasn't able to have a Christmas tree. So to lift my holiday spirits, I got the next best thing and drew myself a "Christmas" tree. I hope this lifts your holiday spirits too. Happy Holidays!

@ XTheRageGodX:
Over the past few years, a few cherished traditions have naturally emerged during the Christmas season, whether by accident or intention. The first is a gift exchange, shared with family and friends. The second is decorating a Christmas tree, no matter whether it’s in my own home or someone else’s. And last but not least, there’s eggnog. Every year, whether I actively celebrate Christmas or not, I make sure to enjoy at least one cup of eggnog during the holidays.

Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy New Year.

Edit: I hope you like my latest drawing.

Edit: Recently decorated my Christmas tree.

@ KaynZelos:
Here in the Philippines, our lifestyle is basically poor. Luckily for our family, we can still eat food everyday but celebrating Christmas and other occasions are always hard. We have no money to put up a celebration, have grandest of all grand food, and no gifts to give to each other. We simply sleep throughout the night and wait 'til the sun rises on the 25th of December, not even bothering to wait for Christmas eve. We have no food on the table, even out relatives didn't even bother to reach out to us or even greet us a merry Christmas.

I grew up watching cartoons on the television. During the Christmas season, Cartoon Network are always playing Christmas episodes, showing what it's like to be celebrating Christmas happily, with food on the table, eggnogs with the family, watching the night sky glows with all its stars light up until Christmas eve. I admit, I felt jealous and envious. I always questioned myself, "how is it like to be like them?"

Until I reached high school, praise the Lord, my father got a promotion and left the Philippines to work abroad. My mom and I worked hard day and night to earn money by selling different types of food and toys at my school. When we had enough money, we finally settled in at our own house near the city, which was a good thing since the products we sell are selling out exponentially when we started to open up a store near our house.

Then Christmas came. Since my dad was outside of the country, I already knew that we would be celebrating this time without him. With my own money, it's my first time buying ingredients to cook for Christmas. I made sure that this is extra special. I bought so much ingredients to cook, even if it's only my mother and I will be celebrating Christmas this year. I checked out of the cashier with a smile on my face. Finally, even though it's expensive to cook for ourselves, we could finally feast on Christmas eve. No more sleeping through the night. And no more tears to shed.

On the 24th, I woke up early to start cooking. My mother helped out and we finished by midday. I asked her if she and I could have a "mini-date" at a nearby mall. Grab coffee, talk about life, and such. When we came home, she then realized something.

"You know, it's bittersweet how this is our first full feast together as family..."

"...but your father isn't here."

That shook me. Because even if we have an abundance of food on the table, you can't compare the happiness my father brought when he comes home every night after work, even without food.

Then someone knocked on the door. When I opened it, my father stepped in with two sacks worth of chocolates and a backpack full of drinks, and eggnog. I hugged him. Real tight. He was out for just almost a year yet it felt like an eternity.

I grabbed a piece of chocolate that he brought from the states. I ate it and cried. No matter what food I prepared, that chocolate I ate reminded me of the bitter childhood I had. How everything was a mess. But now, we can get through life freely. And I cannot be more happier than that.

@ Karinutsa:
It has become a tradition for me to put up a small (artificial) tree in my room

You can also admire my ''real'' tree, but I just cannot include a readable piece of paper in there too haha

As for Christmas stories, I promised myself I will not dwell on the past these days, so I decided it might be better to just share 2 pics taken last weekend while I visited an astonishingly beautiful Christmas Market from my country. Fun fact - it was voted the second best Holiday market in Europe. My pics will not do it justice, I am afraid, but the blast I had with my family there certainly is something to remember.

@ Aireszita:
Hello everyone! I'd like to share a fun Christmas story which happened... Yesterday!
Me and my younger brother collect Pokémon cards (though I only buy packs on special occasions, like birthday/Christmas, due to how expensive this hobby can get). This time me and my boyfriend decided to get him some packs as a Christmas gift! We ordered them from a TCG Breaks livestream shop, 4 packs from a collection and another 4 from my brother's favourite set. However, when we got there to get our packs (they don't live very far away, so to avoid shipping costs we pick them up ourselves!) they told us they had already opened all of the packs from my brother's favourite set by accident, during a livestream! No biggie, mistakes happen so we picked 4 from one of the newest collections available.

Yesterday, Christmas Eve, we gave my brother his gift and opened the packs with him. To our surprise, the packs which we weren't going to buy in the first place got us an amazing Latias card!!! Both me and my boyfriend jumped the moment we saw it 😆 My brother got super hyped too, we went to check the price and it's actually one of the best pulls from this set! I guess this situation turned out to be a VERY lucky accident!

While we could sell it, it's such a beautiful card that allowed us to share this memory and will make us remember this story every time we look at it! I truly feel like this alone makes it a lot more worthy to keep! ❤️

@ Dustyacer:

@ PykEugeo:
In this period I often played solo leveling in addition to league of legends and I was very passionate about its story, in the adventure mode (spoiling the other seasons) but making me have fun like I haven't had fun in years thanks to the interactive manga and with special effects that was created.. for the Christmas event this Christmas tree was created in the menu and since I really liked how it was made and I wanted to share with you together with charlotte (my favorite character of solo leveling) this Christmas tree together with all your wishes and dreams.. may they all come true and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

@ PeyPey241:
Santa knows me and my family; let me explain. My family visits our nearest mall yearly to take pictures with the ONE AND ONLY, VERY REAL Santa Claus. We actually have an entire shelf of pictures (which I would share if I were willing to show everyone my face). It's gotten to the point that Mr. Claus recognizes us every time we visit. He makes the same joke every year: "Say happy! Say cheese! Say money!" Whenever I think about Santa and his elves during December, I smile because he knows who we are! Thank you for reading this short post about something I look forward to every year. Happy Holidays to those who don't celebrate, and have a merry Christmas!

@ GreenReapers:
In Germany we have some particular sweets called Zimtsterne, cinnamon stars. They're basically Cinnamon cookies in a star shape with a sweet egg creme as coating. They're usually baked as a christmas sweet and I damn love them. The usual recipie contains nuts so I have to adapt by using oats to substitute. I've baked some recently but they've already been eaten :( so here's a picture from the web!

Also, this isn't much of a food but whatever, I did want to mention Glühwein 'cause Glühwein is awesome! Glühwein is hot wine with spices which you can find in any supermarket and on any christmas market during the colder seasons. Warms you up reliably but you can get drunk very fast as people don't notice the alcohol as much if it's hot. And heres another example picture :)
