If you're running out of mana, try not to use Despair so often. That's what I find drains my mana.

i've only just started using amumu recently and also found the issue on the running out of mana so my suggestion would be what about a mp5 item to help balance out the need for the mass amout of mana in your build. i don't know the viability of this idea as still working on it but what about a spell vamp amumu. so far the only problem i can see with my build is the lack of slow effects. once done i will put up a link for it on here so people can compare. (but will need to get to lvl 30 and buy all the runes b4 i can fully test it)

Ragakan. I have never used Amumu before but seeing other people use this champ makes me want to use him. He is definatly my next champ, and i am going to use your build because it looks boss. Thanks! :D. Thumbs Up.

Thanks Chris, Amumu is an amazing champion for 3's also, doesn't need alot of items to make him good so its very valuable.

I put up there that you can grab an abyssal scepter for more AP and Magic Resist, or something i didn't put up there is that it would be good to get a force of nature also if needed. And Amumu's Ap scaling is pretty good for his abilities for what they are.

It's a good build, however you don't have very much magic resistence. You will be torn apart and harassed easily by ability champions like veigar, fiddle, anivia, etc. Ability power isn't bad on him, but it doesn't increase his abilities damage by very much. I have an amumu build with some differences that you might want to check out. Overall I think that it's a very good build.

I used the beginning of the build for playing a 3vs3
ps it's very nice to play with an ability champion(veigar,fiddle, anivia etc)

Cursed Tough: Your passive, reduces enemies magic resist when you hit them, very effective because everything you do is magic damage.<< thanks to your passive ;')

went 5-1-5 with a bad start.

Amumu is a great champion, he really can be a game changer, and this build helps you put out more damage too and not just be a straight tank.
