I personally think that people with higher Rep's votes should have more weight than someone that just registered to mobafire and seems to enjoy just voting down builds. Finished my first guide a few weeks ago and I've been having down votes lately for absolutely no valid or constructive reasons.

Also I think we should be able to vote on people's comment to determine either they're helpful or not and hopefully being able to counter a trolling down voter =)
Never underestimate a squishy champion.

I like the idea. But it would be hard to find a balance. Anyone got any suggestions?

I think the rep idea isn't really that bad. It would be a nice counter to trolls without completely over-doing it because the more recognized site members are a lot less likely to just troll a build for no reason. But then again, it isn't that hard for someone to have a friend or two boost their rep daily until they can just troll even harder.

If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.

I think there should be a tie in to the post count too.
Trolls won't really put in the effort to troll if it only counts for a little bit if they don't have a semi-reasonable post count.

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.

I like spaghetti -1, if a number of people dont like that comment it will have no impact because it's not against the rules. Rep doesnt always make the person experianced either. Vet's already give loads of guides a boost. what if someone done very well and created an account just to thankyou and +1 you're guide and it had almost no effect, i've had more created accouts +1 then -1ing it thinking about it (when somone +1's and that being there first or 2nd post)

This would drastically reduce the amount of voting. Isn't that what we don't want?

I don't think it would be balanced at all.

What I'd really like is to make people post when downvoting, even if anonymous. I could care less who downvotes, I'm way more interested in the reason for doing it. I got 6 downvotes in my build, if all 6 of them are trolls then I don't really mind, because it's working for everyone till now. But if some of them are not trolls at all and don't find my build useful I'd like to know why or at least give them some tips in order to preform better.

A troll would have no problem voting down and just saying "." anonymously, so it won't really prevent them form posting.

IMHO the system is fine now, the only problem is that there are lots of guides who have reaaaaaaally high rating and votes thanks to the C2V and will most likely stay at the top forever since troll votes won't affect them that much.

I think it should, It wouldn't be that bad. People rep you for saying things that are useful and it shows that your trying to help and not troll.
Anyway that's my 2 cents.

The problem then is that DEWO and I along with any other member who votes with a large amount of rep could singlehandedly bring a good build down or a bad build up, just based on our opinion, no matter who disagrees with us. :\

How about votes are weighed like this:

Vote happens.
Rep takes a small factor.
People vote on said vote.
If disagreeing on "good" vote or "bad" vote, then time since joining along with post count, weighs in.

Sound more reasonable?
